Winter Delicacy : Gond ke ladoo😋
🌈This popular sweet treat is commonly prepared during winters in the Nothern part of India.
🌈 Before jumping into the recipe, lets understand what gond is.
-Gond is an edible gum alternatively known as Tragacanth or acacia gum
- It is a viscous, odourless, tasteless, water soluble mixture of polysaccharides obtained from sap that is drained from the root of the plant and dried.
- These plant gums are usually found in Middle East, and parts of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Punjab.
-it is rich in calcium, magnesium and almost contains around 3% of protein along with alkaloids.
🌈Ingredients: Powdered Gond, Urad daal, wheat flour, desiccated coconut, almonds, walnuts, Ganthoda powder and jaggery
🌈Recipe:
-First Heat the ghee and saute wheat flour and urad daal.
- Again heat the ghee in another pan and add jaggery and melt it properly at slow flame.
- Finally add the sauted wheat flour, urad daal, powdered gond, crushed nuts, desiccated coconut and ganthoda powder and mix it well
- make small ladoos of this mixture , cool it down and store it in airtight container.
