The most dangerous thing about diabetes and high BP? You may not feel anything. ⚠️
You can feel completely normal while uncontrolled blood sugar and blood pressure slowly damage your kidneys, eyes, nerves, heart, and blood vessels.
The ICMR-INDIAB study highlights how widespread the problem is in India — approximately 11.4% of adults have diabetes and 15.3% have prediabetes. Hypertension is also extremely common.
The problem isn’t just diagnosis. Many people, even after being diagnosed, skip medicines, delay follow-ups, or rely only on fasting sugar to decide whether their diabetes is under control.
So, don’t wait for symptoms.
👉 40+? Check your blood pressure regularly.
👉 Have diabetes? Monitor HbA1c as advised by your doctor.
👉 Taking medicines? Don’t stop or skip them without medical advice.
👉 Abnormal reports? Don’t delay your follow-up.
Early detection + regular monitoring + consistent treatment can go a long way in preventing complications.
