Alignment cannot be beaten into the body by hands, words, or will.
True yoga begins when the mat ends.
Rather than forcing form, we study the scriptures, surrender to God, and embody dharma not just follow it.
Because yoga isn't about being corrected. It's about being connected.

Tomorrow’s reel will explore why yoga can be practiced even without asana. “Before asana, before effort—SILENCE”
And why despite being a yoga instructor and educator,
I too, have fallen into the trap of commodifying a living culture.
This is not a rejection of yoga…
It is a return to it

Intermodal Movement Arts

With a Diploma in Dance Movement Therapy from TISS, 15+ years of training in dance and movement, and years of facilitating Intermodal Movement Arts in natural spaces — I thought I knew movement.
Then Tiruvannamalai happened.
Everything collapsed.
What I thought was joy revealed something quieter: stillness inside movement.

Yes, I’m that guy.
The one who performed at every building annual function, local sports club Christmas party, college fest, corporate event — mostly because my father was convinced it would never become a “real career.”

A dance scholarship during my graduation helped me earn by teaching contemporary dance. More than money, it gave me confidence — especially speaking in public.
Home was different.
Silence lived there.
But it often filled itself with half-formed choreography — a few steps while Amma cooked, small movements slipping out while Appa watched TV in the common hall.

I never really questioned whether art must be utilitarian.
Or whether it must justify itself through income.

To me, any movement that allows expression is dance.
Even in silence.
Even when the mind wants to move but the body listens first.
Even when the body keeps discovering a new vocabulary with every encounter — with earth, water, wind, trees, space.

Movement doesn’t always perform.
Sometimes it reveals.
Sometimes it rests.
Sometimes it remembers who you were before you tried to be useful.

If you’re listening closely, movement will teach you how to be still — without stopping. Hope I haven't invited you to long steady states of silence after this long caption 😀

What emerged from years of slow traveling, teaching, and listening to people from different walks of life shaped this offering.
January 2026 is a space to bring those learnings into steady practice, to share in a grounded & consistent space.

January invites courage — to show up honestly.
Clarity grows through steady practice, confidence through alignment, and action through intention, while learning when to surrender what no longer serves.

This month offers a shared space to practice together — to grow a small, grounded community by inviting a friend, a loved one, or someone who needs a month of support, before committing to a longer rhythm for 2026.

This shows that God can create anything from nothing just by willing it. Beautiful reminder of God’s limitless power and control over everything in the universe.

Root to Rise — A 12-Week Online Wellness Reset
Discover Week: July 2nd–9th | Full Program starts July 10

☔ Why Monsoons Need More Care
This season often brings more than just rain — it brings fatigue, foggy minds, inertia, disrupted routines. The skies outside mirror what we silently carry inside.

According to Ayurveda’s Ritucharya, monsoon is the time to care for your digestion, immunity, and mind through practices aligned with your prakriti and dosha. What you do now shapes the season ahead.

That’s why Root to Rise was created — a 12-week wellness program to support those silently struggling. We offer grounding movement, breathwork, vagal toning, fascia release, gut health, and Ayurveda — not as lifestyle trends, but as healing acts of remembrance.

🌀 Gentle structure, not rigidity.
Rhythm without pressure.
Discipline rooted in compassion.

Whether you join at 7:15 AM or 7:15 PM — come as you are.
Let the practice meet you. Each 75 minute session carefully curated to develop a rhythm for the day or unwind from the events

🌕 This year, Guru Purnima falls on a Full Moon that marks Dakshinayana — the inward turn of the year. A time to reflect. To plant seeds for inner harvest.

On July 10, I will complete 10 years of walking this path. A decade of learning, unlearning, and offering what I’ve received. This work is my devotion and love to God — offered in service to all. May each session be a gentle reminder of the sacred that lives within you. May this space support your healing, clarity, and return to wholeness.

P.S.
If you’re going through something quietly, this space is for you.
Not to fix you — but to walk beside you.
To rise gently, from your own root.

🧘‍♂️ Join our Discover Week (July 2–9) to experience this.

Thank you for allowing me to walk a part of this journey with you.

This is not just a post — it’s a mirror for every teacher who’s ever doubted their own light.

If you’ve ever felt like you don’t belong in the space you’ve worked so hard to reach — this is for you.

syndrome

You never know who’s quietly struggling. If this brought you clarity or calm, offer this gently — as a reminder, as a blessing.

I didn’t begin teaching online during lockdown.
I didn’t believe in Covid — until I was racing to find a hospital for my father’s oncology treatment.

After 4 months of frequent hospital visits, learning what triggers cancer and what truly sustains life,
I knew I had to live differently.

I packed a bag, rode my scooter through the Western Ghats of Karnataka,
learned to farm, built homes from mud, made chocolate from tree to bar,
and began hosting volunteer programs to reclaim meaning through service.

One decision led to another.
Each beginning brought me closer — to new skills,
new community, and eventually…
a master’s in Yoga Therapy.

It all started because I said yes to life.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need to begin. 🌱

Here is a carefully curated post referencing Patañjali Yoga Sūtras, Sāṅkhya Philosophy, Advaita Vedānta, and Bhagavad Gītā, all pointing to the urgency of beginning, the need to eliminate doubt and ignorance, and the realization that truth is not merely perceived — it is lived and trusted.

If you have read till here, Pass on the message to your fellow beings.🌺

Keep practicing, keep it Simple 😊 and Stay Humble🔆

Sharing a few Interpretations from the aphorism and texts pertaining to Yoga

Ashtanga yoga - In Yoga Sutras, Patanjali defines yoga as
“Yogah Chitta Vritti Nirodhah” - Chitt – mind, Vritti – functioning of mind, Nirodha –control Yoga is to control the functioning of the mind. We have our thoughts, emotions, feelings and conditioning in the mind.

Bhagavad Gita – Lord Krishna defines yoga
Lord Krishna defines yoga as “Samatvam Yoga Uchyate” – Samatva – balanced state, Uchyate – said to be
Yoga is a balanced state of the body and mind. Yoga is a balanced state of emotions. Yoga is a balanced state of thought and intellect. Yoga is a balanced state of behaviour. We are excited in the situation of pleasure and we become sad when it is not a favourable situation. Yoga is to maintain equilibrium of the mind in any situation

“Yogah karmasu kaushalam” – karma – action / behavior / any change in time and space, kaushalam – skill / efficiency / perfect or appropriate behavior
Yoga is perfectly skilled action or behavior. All our actions that cause mental disturbances or behaviour causing disharmony should be avoided. For example, getting angry is harmful for our body and mind, and therefore should be controlled. If stress and anxiety are bad for health then our actions should be such that stress and anxiety does not disturb that healthy state of mind.

Yoga Vashishtha
– In Yoga Vashishtha, Guru of Lord Rama Sage Vashishtha defines yoga as “Yoga mana prashmana upayah” – mana – mind, prashmana – perfectly peaceful and silent, upay – remedy, cure

Yoga is a cure for the mind to become perfectly steady and peaceful. Our natural state of mind is peaceful and without any distractions, disturbances, difficulties and distress.
Yoga’s approach is simple to reach this natural state. If the mind is not controlled then the body will also not be under control. If the mind is not healthy, the body will not be healthy.
