Your weight suddenly increases by 1–2 kgs before your period… and your first thought is usually.. What did I do wrong?

But here’s the truth... this is often NOT fat gain.

Before your menstrual cycle, your body naturally experiences:
✨ Water retention
✨ Hormonal fluctuations
✨ Slower digestion
✨ Increased cravings & bloating

To gain 1 kg of body fat overnight, you’d need a very large calorie surplus. Most of the time, what you’re seeing on the scale is temporary period bloating and water weight... not actual fat gain.

Instead of panic dieting or punishing your body, try supporting it:
✔️ Eat magnesium & potassium rich foods
✔️ Stay hydrated
✔️ Avoid excessive salty processed foods
✔️ Don’t aggressively cut carbs
✔️ Go for a light walk or movement

Your body is not working against you. It’s responding exactly the way it’s designed to.

Save this reel for the next time the scale makes you panic before your period & share it with someone who needs this reminder.

Masala chai is not the enemy ☕🌿

The real problem is often the extra sugar, oversized cups and the endless biscuit-rusk-namkeen combinations that quietly add up through the day.

This World Tea Day, you don’t need to quit chai… you just need to make it smarter ✨

✔ Use less sugar
✔ Add spices like ginger, cinnamon, tulsi, elaichi or pepper
✔ Choose smaller portions
✔ Avoid pairing every cup with fried snacks or biscuits
✔ Keep a gap between tea and meals/snacks for better iron absorption

You can also switch things up through the day with:
🍵 Green tea with lemon or mint
🍵 Ginger-tulsi tea for evenings
🍵 Saunf tea for digestion after dinner

Remember that Chai is comfort, culture and connection in India. You don’t need to remove it from your life to be healthy.

Chai mat chhodo… chai ko smart banao 🤍

Save this reel for your next tea break & share it with your chai-loving friend ☕✨

Korean food has officially gone mainstream in India 🇰🇷🍜

From kimchi and bibimbap to ramen, kimbap and gochujang... K-food is everywhere right now.

And honestly? As a dietitian, there are parts of Korean cuisine that I really like.

Fermented foods like kimchi can support gut health. Bibimbap can be a balanced meal with rice, vegetables and protein. And Korean meals often make vegetables more exciting and enjoyable to eat.

But like every cuisine, balance matters.
An occasional cheesy ramen or Korean fried chicken night is absolutely fine… but your everyday meals still need protein, fibre, vegetables and moderation with sauces, sodium and sugary drinks.

No cuisine is automatically “healthy” or “unhealthy.” It all depends on how often you eat it, what you pair it with and the portions you choose.

Save this for your next Korean food craving & share it with your K-drama loving friend 💙

You say you want to prioritize your health… but your daily habits may be saying something else !!!

Skipping meals, surviving on caffeine, low protein lunches, poor hydration and late-night scrolling can quietly affect your energy, digestion, hormones, sleep, metabolism and overall health.

The good news?
You do NOT need a complete life overhaul. Sometimes, fixing just ONE small habit can create a big shift 🌿

✔ Start your morning with water before caffeine
✔ Add more protein to your meals
✔ Stay hydrated through the day
✔ Stop skipping meals
✔ Prioritize quality sleep

Small sustainable habits always work better than extreme diets and quick fixes.

Save this post for later & send it to someone who runs on caffeine and vibes ☕✨

Weight loss is not always about your main meals.
Sometimes, it’s the small “bas thoda sa” habits that quietly add up through the day.

✨ One biscuit with chai.
✨ A few bites from your child’s plate.
✨ An extra roti.
✨ A little namkeen.
✨ A small mithai after dinner.

Individually, they don’t feel like much. But repeated daily, these unplanned bites can slow down your progress without you even realizing it.

So before eating, pause for 3 seconds and ask yourself:

👉 Am I actually hungry or am I eating it just because it’s there?

Awareness is often the first step toward sustainable weight loss and healthier eating habits

Tell us in the comments what’s your “bas thoda sa” habit?

If your only goal is weight loss… you’re thinking too short-term. Because your body doesn’t just need to look good. It needs to function well for years.

You need :
✨ More energy
✨ Better digestion
✨ Stable hormones
✨ Less inflammation

That doesn’t come from crash diets.

It comes from:
✔️ Protein
✔️ Fibre
✔️ Healthy fats
✔️ Balanced meals

Start asking questions like...
“Will this support my body long-term?”

Not just:“How fast will this help me lose weight?”

Save this & shift your focus.

You’re drinking water all day… but still feeling tired, bloated or getting headaches?

It’s not about drinking more.
It’s about hydrating better.

Your body needs:
✔️ Electrolytes
✔️ Water-rich foods
✔️ Consistent sipping (not chugging)

A few small shifts can completely change how you feel this summer.

Try this for a few days & you’ll notice the difference.

Save & share this with someone who’s “always drinking water” but still not feeling their best.

Feeling acidic, bloated or unusually tired in this heat?
It’s not just the weather... it’s your body overheating from within.

When temperatures rise, your Pitta (internal heat) can spike, leading to digestive discomfort, fatigue, and that constant “heaviness.”

Try this simple morning ritual :-
Soak 8–10 black raisins + 1 tsp fennel seeds overnight, crush, strain and drink it first thing in the morning.

This natural blend helps:
✔️ Cool the body from within
✔️ Support digestion
✔️ Reduce acidity & bloating
✔️ Restore hydration balance

Simple habits can make a real difference in how your body handles summer.

Save this & share it with someone who’s feeling the heat

PM Modi eating jhalmuri… and you still think Indian street food is unhealthy?

Not every snack has to be burgers, chips, or ultra-processed “health foods.” Sometimes, the smarter and healthier choice is already on your streets.

As a dietitian, here are some healthy Indian street food swaps you should know 👇

Jhalmuri > Chips
Light, crunchy, and packed with peanuts, onions, cucumber and mustard oil. Giving you fibre, healthy fats and real ingredients.

Idli > Deep-fried snacks
Steamed, fermented and easy to digest, great for gut health.

Kala chana chaat / Sundal > Namkeen
High in protein and fibre, keeps you full longer without excess oil.

Bhutta > French fries
Roasted corn with natural fibre and far less grease.

Roasted peanuts & chana > Biscuits
More protein, more satiety, fewer empty calories.

Poha > Aloo bhujiya
Made with real ingredients like flattened rice, peanuts, curry leaves... not just processed fillers.

Vada pav (sometimes) > Burger
Fresh, local and simpler ingredients compared to ultra-processed fast food.

The truth is... Indian street food is not always unhealthy.

When it’s fresh, well-made, and eaten in the right portion, it can be a better alternative to modern junk food.

Eat local. Eat smart.

Love mangoes but hate the energy crash?

The issue isn’t mangos...it’s how you eat it.

- Packaged aamras = added sugar → spikes & crashes

- Fresh mango + nuts/makhana = fiber + healthy fats → steady energy & better satiety

💡 Simple swap: Choose real fruit, pair it right, and keep your blood sugar balanced.

Save this for smarter summer snacking & share it with a mango lover.
