The deeper I walk into this work, the more I realise that this journey chose me.
My clients chose me.
This space of healing, creativity, and courage chose me.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with children, adolescents, young adults, and even elderly individuals who live across the spectrum of ADHD, autism, dyslexia, cognitive disabilities, and other beautiful neurotypes. And every single one of them has taught me that there is no one “right” way for a mind to think, feel, or learn.
If you’re new to these words:
Neurodiversity simply means that human brains are naturally varied , like colours on a palette.
Neurodivergent refers to people whose brains process the world differently from what society labels as “typical” — including ADHDers, autistic individuals, dyslexic thinkers, and many more.
And working through an Expressive Arts Therapy lens has shown me that when we create, move, draw, imagine, and express freely… something powerful happens. We meet the mind as it is, not as the world expects it to be.
This path has pushed me into places of discomfort, sitting with big emotions, tough questions, limitations, unpredictability, and the unknown. It has stripped away the part of me that was constantly trying to “prove” that I matter.
And, layer by layer, it has brought me into a softer truth…
We already matter.
We are enough exactly as we are.
We are not alone in this journey.
Every story I witness, every session, every challenge, every moment of wonder has shaped me into the person & professional I am becoming. And I feel grateful that I get to walk beside so many different minds… learning, unlearning, creating, and evolving together.
Thank you for being part of my journey. 🌻🙏
