At IDHA, Expressive Arts Therapy offers individuals a safe and supportive space to understand their emotions through creative processes.
Our sessions focus on sensory exploration, movement, art-making, and reflective expression, allowing each person to communicate in the way that feels most natural to them.

Every individual engages differently, some express through drawing or painting,
some through movement, storytelling or play,
and others through sensory experiences that help regulate the body and mind.

There is no pressure to speak, perform, or create something “perfect.”
The emphasis is on emotional safety, regulation, and authentic expression.

These glimpses from our sessions show what expressive arts therapy can look like:
• Collaborative art-making
• Sensory moments that support regulation
• Movement-based exploration
• Child-led creative expression
• Opportunities to understand emotions through visuals and play
• A space where every body moves at its own pace.

Our approach is shaping into neuroaffirming and grounded in therapeutic intention.

The deeper I walk into this work, the more I realise that this journey chose me.
My clients chose me.
This space of healing, creativity, and courage chose me.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with children, adolescents, young adults, and even elderly individuals who live across the spectrum of ADHD, autism, dyslexia, cognitive disabilities, and other beautiful neurotypes. And every single one of them has taught me that there is no one “right” way for a mind to think, feel, or learn.

If you’re new to these words:
Neurodiversity simply means that human brains are naturally varied , like colours on a palette.

Neurodivergent refers to people whose brains process the world differently from what society labels as “typical” — including ADHDers, autistic individuals, dyslexic thinkers, and many more.

And working through an Expressive Arts Therapy lens has shown me that when we create, move, draw, imagine, and express freely… something powerful happens. We meet the mind as it is, not as the world expects it to be.

This path has pushed me into places of discomfort, sitting with big emotions, tough questions, limitations, unpredictability, and the unknown. It has stripped away the part of me that was constantly trying to “prove” that I matter.

And, layer by layer, it has brought me into a softer truth…

We already matter.
We are enough exactly as we are.
We are not alone in this journey.

Every story I witness, every session, every challenge, every moment of wonder has shaped me into the person & professional I am becoming. And I feel grateful that I get to walk beside so many different minds… learning, unlearning, creating, and evolving together.

Thank you for being part of my journey. 🌻🙏

What Is IDHA?

IDHA stands for Integrative Diverse Humanistic Art-based Therapy Space.

The philosophy behind IDHA is rooted in inclusivity, compassion, and creativity — creating space for all minds, all backgrounds, and every form of human experience.

We use art as a language to hold space for people of all ages — especially those who are neurodivergent and neurodiverse, including children, teens, adolescents, and elderly individuals navigating ADHD, autism, cognitive differences, and more.

IDHA was born from a simple, yet profound realization — that in our fast-paced, worldly lives, we often drift away from our core humanity.

Sometimes, words are not enough.
Art reaches places within us that words cannot — it helps us restore balance, reconnect with our strength, and remember the resilience we hold as humans.

Through creativity, we rediscover purpose, connection, and the freedom to live with authenticity.

This is what IDHA stands for — a space that celebrates life in all its colors, movements, and expressions.

A little about who I am becoming why i do this work that keeps deepening with time.
Over the years, expressive arts has become more than what I do it’s how I understand, listen, and move through the world.

My practice has evolved through creativity, movement, and helping people slow down, reconnect, and find meaning in their own rhythms.

It’s a journey that continues to teach me it’s about noticing what’s alive and allowing ourselves to feel.

I’m now deepening this work by specialising through a trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming lens something I’ll share more about in the next video.

For now, this is where I am learning, unlearning, and creating space to stay human, one moment at a time.

What a beautiful end to the weekend last night! Facilitated an online workshop of Expressive Arts commemorating Mental health! It was a brave response from each and every participant!
Deeply grateful for this he-artful experience!

We discussed various challenges such as - anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, being stuck in old patterns, self worth, conflict of too much awareness, navigating optimism, finding courage to stand up for oneself and embracing the new experiences.
The group was diverse from the age group of 17-50yrs.
Incredible to witness how courageous they all showed up for themselves!

This offering began in the year 2020 to support every life who felt alone and struggled to communicate their needs!
We have come a long way as a community ✨

Gratitude ✨
