Without the right guidance, students often make choices based on pressure, expectations, or limited information. Over time, this can lead to confusion, dissatisfaction, or feeling stuck in the wrong direction.

Career guidance is not about telling someone what to do. It is about helping individuals understand their strengths, interests, and values so they can make informed and confident decisions about their future.
Sometimes, the right guidance at the right time can completely change a person’s journey.

A post long overdue -

It's been a month since we, Sunshine Counseling Center, in collaboration with The Therapeutic Space, completed our 1 month training program - The First Step: Foundations of Building Your Therapeutic Practice.

When Manvi and Krisha first approached me regarding creating a training program for early career therapists and students of Masters in Psychology who aspire to start their own practice, it felt like a roller-coaster of emotions. It made me feel excited and blessed to see them put the trust in me and my expertise to be a trainer for the program. But at the same time, I was worried about not being able to deliver something that was different from other programs out there. I wanted to make sure that we provided the participants with quality information that was worth the value they were investing in terms of their time and money.

After weeks of back and forth and inputs from our masterclass, we came up with a structure that provided them with complete information in terms of starting their practice plus important skills needed to help them conduct therapy sessions with ease. From creating a profile, important documents that are needed to start their practice to building therapeutic relationships and skills, we covered it all.

With our motto of learning by doing, we made sure our participants actively participated and completed the weekly activities given to them. And that's what they did. All our participants, Aradhita, Diwanshi, Himanshi, and Sumithra, completed each activity with enthusiasm. They made sure to be present and interact during all the weekly sessions. Their questions and curiosity to learn and engage is what made the program successful.

What started as a training program ended up flourishing into a close-knit community and a safe place where the participants can reach out to us for continued support. Thank you to Manvi, Krisha, Aradhita, Diwanshi, Himanshi, and Sumithra for placing your trust in me.
