Nutrition myths are everywhere — and not everything you hear is true 👀
Some common myths Indians still believe:
❌ “Rice at night causes weight gain” ➡️ Weight gain happens when total calorie intake consistently exceeds your body’s needs — not because of eating rice at a particular time. Portion size, activity levels & overall diet matter more.
❌ “Ghee is unhealthy” ➡️ Pure desi ghee in moderation can be part of a balanced diet. It contains fat-soluble vitamins and healthy fats. The problem is excess quantity, not ghee itself.
❌ “Fruits can be eaten anytime in unlimited amounts”
➡️ Fruits are healthy, but large portions late at night may not be ideal for everyone. Some fruits are high in natural sugars and fiber, which can affect digestion, acidity, or blood sugar balance in sensitive individuals. Moderation and timing matter too.
❌ “All carbs are bad” ➡️ Carbohydrates are your body’s primary energy source. Whole grains, fruits, vegetables & millets provide fiber, vitamins & sustained energy. The focus should be on choosing better-quality carbs.
Healthy eating is about balance, portion control & understanding your body — not blindly following food fears.
