Objects 2016 are first in a series of handcrafted objects made in materials such as concrete, reinforced concrete, cement,
mortar plaster, textile, coir, paper and more. Designed to perform, they are also standalone sculptural elements. Objects
2016 are an amalgamation of everyday resources and creative use. Objects 2016 exploits the inherent nature of materials, utilizing their strengths and defi

ciencies, consuming both to attain
renewed aesthetics. Each object made manually is unique; cast from flexible molds. The resulting shape and surface of each object are not replicable. The first series comprise of; dome, hand hewn from reinforced plaster, each with a personality of its own; dome distressed, a departure from dome with textured damaged surface and edge; bowl, cast in concrete, each has a singular
character through tone and texture and block clock, a concrete cube that duals as a clock and a curio pedestal.
