Coronal Abdominal CT: Essential Visceral & Vascular Anatomy 🩻🩺
Thoracoabdominal Transition:
The muscular dome of the Diaphgram separates the thoracic cavity from the abdomen, with the inferior border of the Heart resting directly upon the central tendon.
Upper Abdominal Viscera:
Liver & Spleen: The large parenchymal mass of the Liver dominates the right upper quadrant, while the crescentic Spleen occupies the posterolateral left upper quadrant.
Stomach & Pancreas: The fluid- and air-filled Stomach lies beneath the left hemidiaphragm, positioned superior and anterior to the Pancreas, head nestled within the duodenal C-loop.
Major Vascular Framework:
Great Vessels: The retroperitoneal midline Aorta descends alongside the right-sided IVC (Inferior Vena Cava).
Portal & Pelvic Circulation: The Main Portal v. courses obliquely toward the porta hepatis, while the distal aorta bifurcates into the bilateral Common iliac arteries to supply the pelvis and lower limbs.
Intestinal Track & Pelvis:
Large Bowel: The right-sided Ascending colon transitions at the subhepatic bend into the Hepatic flexure, counterbalanced on the left by the vertically descending Descending colon.
Pelvic Cavity: The muscular Bladder serves as the central anterior reservoir within the true pelvis.

Central Skull Base & Sphenoid Complex:
Sphenoid Bone & Sinus: Central osseous anchor jo midline par pneumatic sphenoidal sinus host karta hai aur greater wings laterally extend karta hai.
Key Foramina: Greater wing ke posterior aspect par mandibular nerve (V_3) transmit karne wala foramen ovale aur middle meningeal artery transmit karne wala small rounded foramen spinosum situated hain.
Lateral & Temporal Region:
Temporal Bone & TMJ: Petrous aur squamous portions ko cover karta hai, jisme condylar articulation ke liye head of mandible, ear canal pathway ke liye external acoustic meatus, aur extensive mastoid cells included hain.
Vascular Canals: Internal carotid artery ke entry pathway ke liye rounded carotid canal aur internal jugular vein drainage ke liye jugular fossa of temporal bone deeply situated hote hain.
Posterior Skull Base:
Occipital Bone: Posterior cranial fossa ki primary structural floor form karti hai.
Occipitomastoid Suture: Temporal bone ke mastoid portion aur occipital squama ke beech posterior boundary aur articulation define karti hai.

X-Ray Skull (AP View): Essential Craniofacial Anatomy 🩻💀
Anteroposterior projection par calvarium, orbits, midface aur mandible ke high-yield osseous landmarks:
Calvarium & Sutures: Anterior vault ko broad frontal bone form karti hai, jo laterally coronal suture ke through parietal bone ke sath articulate karti hai; deeper lateral boundary par sphenoid bone visualized hoti hai.
Orbital & Midfacial Framework: Bilateral symmetric orbits, midline nasal bones, aur radiolucent pyriform aperture ya nasal cavity midface define karte hain. Cheek prominence ko lateral zygomatic bone aur dentition ko support karne wali maxillary bone anchor karti hain.
Mandible & Dentition: Lower facial skeleton ko well-aligned maxillary/mandibular teeth, U-shaped mandible (body), midline mandible (symphysis), bilateral neurovascular apertures mental foramen, aur TMJ articulation create karne wala mandibular condyle complete karte hain.

Coronal Shoulder MRI: Essential Anatomy & Soft Tissue Landmarks 🩻💪
Glenohumeral Joint & Labrum: The hemispherical Humeral Head articulates with the shallow Glenoid fossa, lined by the fibrocartilaginous Glenoid Labrum to enhance joint stability within the enclosing Joint Capsule.
Rotator Cuff System: The Supraspinatus Tendon passes beneath the acromial arch toward its insertion on the greater tuberosity, balanced inferomedially by the Subscapularis Tendon and posteriorly by the Infraspinatus (muscle & tendon) and Teres Minor Muscle.
Biceps Tendon & Groove: The Long Head of Biceps Tendon (LHBT) courses over the humeral head and descends along the anterior Bicipital Groove (LHBT).
Subacromial Space & Overlying Musculature: Formed superiorly by the Acromion and Acromioclavicular (AC) Joint; the protective Subacromial–Subdeltoid Bursa sits directly below to prevent friction against the lateral Deltoid Muscle.
Posterior & Superior Stabilizers: The superior contour is bounded by the Trapezius Muscle, while the inferior border is supported by the Teres Major Muscle.

Hamate: Medially wedge-shaped bone jo ek prominent anterior projection—hook of hamate—rakhta hai (Guyon's canal aur carpal tunnel ke boundary banata hai).
High-Yield Radiographic Mnemonic:
"So Long To Pinky, Here Comes The Thumb"
Proximal row (radial \rightarrow ulnar): Scaphoid, Lunate, Triquetrum, Pisiform.
Distal row (ulnar \rightarrow radial): Hamate, Capitate, Trapezoid, Trapezium.

Abdominal CT: Normal Findings vs. Common Pathologies 🩻🔬

Appendix:

Normal: Caliber < 6\text{ mm} with a thin wall, clean surrounding mesoappendix fat, and absence of free fluid.

Acute Appendicitis: Dilated lumen > 6\text{ mm} with circumferential wall thickening/hyperenhancement, prominent periappendiceal fat stranding, and potential abscess formation or perforation.

Pancreas:

Normal: Preserved parenchymal volume, smooth lobulated contours, uniform homogeneous enhancement, and sharply defined peripancreatic fat planes.

Acute Pancreatitis: Diffuse or focal gland enlargement, heterogeneous/hypoattenuating enhancement, hazy peripancreatic fat stranding, and acute peripancreatic fluid collections with risk of necrosis.

Urinary Tract (Kidneys & Ureters):

Normal: Symmetric renal size, smooth corticomedullary architecture, absence of calculi, and non-dilated ureters without hydronephrosis.

Renal / Ureteric Calculus: Focal hyperdense calculus causing proximal obstructive hydroureter/hydronephrosis and perirenal/periureteral inflammatory fat stranding.

Small Bowel:

Normal: Non-distended, pliable loops with thin, uniformly enhancing walls and standard luminal fluid/gas distribution without caliber cutoff.

Small Bowel Obstruction (SBO): Disproportionately dilated fluid-filled loops with air-fluid levels proximal to a distinct anatomical transition point, accompanied by distal decompressed bowel.
