ives and the use of processed sugar. Vegetable oils and palm oils further make these products unhealthy and unfit for human consumption. While aiming to provide healthy food options, we went back to our roots and recalled the food habits of our great grandparents. In spite of very less medical facilities, they still used to live an exceptionally healthy lifestyle mainly because their diet was dependent on naturally available plant-based foods. But gradually with time, we started to move away from our roots by adopting unhealthy food habits mainly due to our fast lifestyle and heavy advertisements of cheap and unhealthy western-style foods. Pearl Millet is one of the oldest cultivated grains in the world and has been grown throughout the India for thousands of years. Pearl Millet is a healthy source of carbohydrate with low glycemic index that controls blood sugar. Apart from that, it is a rich source of dietary fibre that is beneficial for gut health. Millet is also rich in niacin, beta carotene like essential antioxidants and vitamins that boosts immune system and protects heart, kidney and other organ function. Our own traditional:”desi ghee” is a rich source of vitamin E, antioxidants and monosaturated Omega-3 fatty acid which are heart-healthy and reduce unhealthy cholesterol levels. After extensive research, we are presenting our first product, Pearl Millet (Bajra) cookies which is a lovely combination of natural plant-based nutrients, Pearl Millet (Bajra), wheat and crunchy corn flakes. Instead of using artificial flavour and sweetener, we have used desi ghee and raw sugar to increase the taste and make them more palatable without compromising the health benefits. No use of additives, artificial colours or preservatives will make this cookie a healthy snack and a perfect “bite of joy” that will bring a smile to your face.
