Common complications of gastric ulcers
1: Gastric pyloric stenosis
Gastric pyloric stenosis is a very common complication in people with gastric ulcers. When suffering from gastric pyloric stenosis, the patient will feel extremely uncomfortable with the following symptoms:
- Severe abdominal pain, the pain is intense, continuous and prolonged
- Nausea or vomiting. Vomited food has an unpleasant odor
- Diarrhea
- Tired, lethargic, sweaty, no strength
2: Stomach perforation
If gastric ulcers are not treated early or not treated thoroughly, it can cause stomach perforation. At first, the patient will feel very strong pain in the epigastric region of the stomach, feeling like a knife is stabbing the stomach, no matter what they do, the pain cannot be relieved. The stomach is stiff, just breathing hard will cause more pain. Then, from the epigastric region of the stomach, the pain will spread throughout the abdomen.
The patient will feel exhausted, tired, pale face, cold hands and feet, sweating, and may have low blood pressure. When a person with gastric ulcer has the above symptoms, it is very likely that there has been a complication of gastric perforation, the patient needs to be taken to the emergency room and have surgery immediately. The longer it takes, the more dangerous it will be to life.
3: Gastrointestinal bleeding
Gastrointestinal bleeding is a condition in which blood in the digestive tract flows from the esophagus to the a**s. When suffering from gastrointestinal bleeding, the patient will vomit blood and have bloody stools. The blood in the waste can be red or dark black.
4: Stomach cancer
Gastrointestinal ulcers are initially a benign disease, but it can lead to extremely dangerous complications of stomach cancer. This is a common type of cancer among gastrointestinal cancers.
