🚨 THE SCENE:

It’s 3:20 PM and triage is packed.

An ambulance rolls in with a 65-year-old man. The paramedic hands you the sheet and says,

β€œSudden right arm weakness and slurred speech. Onset about an hour ago.”

His wife is right behind the stretcher, anxious and shaking.

β€œHe was eating lunch at 2:30 PM. The spoon fell from his hand and he started talking funny. I thought it would pass.”

You glance at the clock. 3:22 PM.
