Strengthening Agriculture Capacity-Building in Assam with the ECHO Model

State Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Assam, in collaboration with ECHO India, successfully completed a two-day Partner Launch Training (PLT) on 19th and 20th August in Guwahati.

The PLT helped in integrating the ECHO Model and iECHO platform into SAMETI’s existing training and capacity-building ecosystem. Shri Rajib Kumar Bhuyan, Director, SAMETI Assam and Shri Manab Jyoti Das, Joint Director of Agriculture (Extension), Assam, highlighted the ECHO Model’s potential to strengthen capacity-building through expert knowledge exchange and peer learning.

The training marked an important step in expanding the ECHO Model into the Department of Agriculture, Assam, laying the foundation for continuous learning, stronger extension services, and better support to farming communities.

When nursing capacity is strengthened, communities receive better cancer care.

Health & Family Welfare Training Centre (HFWTC), Pune, in collaboration with ECHO India, launched a capacity-building initiative to strengthen breast and cervical cancer care for nursing professionals across Pune.

Supported by Optum India, the program will train Nursing Professionals from Pune District strengthening their skills and confidence through the ECHO Model of virtual case-based learning.

We were honored to have esteemed dignitaries join us for the launch event, including:

Together, we're creating a stronger network of nursing professionals equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and ongoing mentorship needed to improve breast and cervical cancer care and make a lasting difference in the lives of women.
