ECHO India is a non-profit trust that was founded in 2008 with a mission to promote equity in healthcare and education. The organization achieves this goal by providing capacity building programs for healthcare professionals and educators. ECHO India's innovative 'Hub and Spoke' Model of learning involves a team of experts serving as the hub, mentoring and training the spokes, who are a cohort of

learners This approach is facilitated through a cutting edge digital infrastructure that enables scalable and sustainable capacity building in a cost-effective manner. ECHO India aims to impact the lives of 400 million people in India by the end of 2025. To achieve this goal, in collaboration with our partners, we have launched over 400 hubs and implemented 1000 capacity-building programs that cover more than 30 disease areas. These programs have witnessed over a million attendances from healthcare workers and educators across the country, with remarkable results. The ECHO Model's 'All Teach All Learn' framework has been proven effective and has been validated by over 500 peer-reviewed articles published in renowned national and international journals, such as The New England Journal of Medicine and The Lancet. ECHO India has joined forces with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and 29 state National Health Missions (NHMs), municipal corporations, nursing councils, and esteemed medical institutions across India. Some of our leading institutional partners include AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health & Neurological Sciences), NITRD (National Institute for Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases), NICPR (National Institute of Cancer Prevention & Research), Tata Memorial Hospital, and PGIMER (Post Graduate Institute for Medical Education & Research). This World Environment Day, as we embrace the theme "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.", we are reminded of the power of nature-based solutions in creating a more sustainable and resilient future.

At , our virtual learning model connects farmers and community workers with experts and peers to share knowledge on sustainable agriculture and environmental practices. Through collaborative learning and community-led action, we support sustainable practices that conserve resources, strengthen livelihoods, and build resilience to climate challenges.

One shared commitment to advancing TB care in India!

ECHO India, in collaboration with the National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases (NITRD), proudly commemorated the 100th DR-TB Difficult-to-Treat TB Clinic (DT3C), a significant milestone reflecting years of innovation, collaboration, and dedication to strengthening the management of complex DR-TB cases across the country.

What began as a platform for expert case discussions has grown into a nationwide model of collaborative learning, supporting healthcare professionals in managing complex TB cases and improving patient outcomes.

The occasion also marked the superannuation of Dr. Rupak Singla, whose visionary leadership and dedication have been instrumental in shaping and sustaining the DT3C initiative since its inception.

Heatwaves are intensifying across India, bringing serious health risks and extreme weather challenges for vulnerable communities. In Bihar, several districts have recorded temperatures nearing 45°C in recent weeks, making preparedness and community awareness more critical than ever.

To address this, ECHO India, GPSVS-BIAG, and UNICEF Bihar launched the program “Impacts of Heatwaves on Human Health” for district-level officers and frontline professionals working closely with communities in Bihar.

The inaugural session, led by Mr. Anshuman Das, Health Officer, UNICEF Bihar Field Office, brought together over 30 district-level officers and frontline professionals from different districts across Bihar and explored critical aspects of heatwave preparedness, early identification of heatstroke symptoms and more.

As extreme heat conditions persist, strengthening the capacity of frontline professionals remains essential in protecting vulnerable communities, building local awareness, and strengthening resilience against climate-related risks.

Strengthening frontline healthcare systems through continuous learning and collaboration.

ECHO India, in collaboration with NHM Arunachal Pradesh, NHM Chhattisgarh, and SIHFW Chhattisgarh, has launched new capacity-building initiatives for ASHAs, ANMs, and Mitanins across Arunachal Pradesh and Chhattisgarh under the Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) package.

In Arunachal Pradesh, the launch marked the beginning of two new training batches. Shri Marge Sora, Mission Director, NHM Arunachal Pradesh, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of strengthening primary healthcare.

In Chhattisgarh, the program was launched across Bastar, Bilaspur, Raipur, and Sarguja districts to strengthen the capacity of estimated 400 frontline health workers through the ECHO model’s collaborative learning approach.

Through case-based discussions, mentorship, and peer learning, these initiatives aim to support frontline workers in delivering stronger, community-centred healthcare services across both states.

An impact that goes beyond treatment, toward prevention.

Hypertension affects 33.1% of men and 24.9% of women in Arunachal Pradesh. Diabetes (self-reported) affects 1.9% of women and 2.2% of men according to NFHS-5 and the true burden may be even higher due to underdiagnosis.

These statistics highlight the urgent need for specialised cardiometabolic care that is accessible at the primary-care level. This is exactly what ECHO India is working to address.

Teachers today play a far greater role than simply teaching, they shape how students think, engage, collaborate, and grow.

The Education Pedagogy ECHO Program was designed to support educators with practical, evidence-based, and student-centred teaching approaches that can be meaningfully applied in classrooms.

The program findings revealed that 95% of participating teachers rated the sessions as very or extremely useful, with many reporting greater confidence, more engaging classroom environments, and stronger adoption of student-centred teaching practices.
