Introduction
Rajiv Gandhi study circle (in colleges and universities) is being instituted in all the districts of the country for giving expression to upright healthy thinking among students and youth, instill unshakable faith in Gandhian principles, re-building India of 21st Century of Shri Rajiv Gandhi's dreams and to meet the demand of knowledge learning for countering the challenges of presen
t times. Based on the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi, our national leaders endeavored to search the solution of global problems from time to time. The organisation of Rajiv Gandhi Study Circle is to provide a platform to search the solutions of present day problems in the light of Gandhian philosophy. In Independent India, Bharat Ratna late Shri Rajiv Gandhi gave a dream for re-building the nation i.e. The Study Circle visualise, its role in building India of Shri Rajiv Gandhi's dream which will be the 21st Century India. That India rising high in each and every moment, with more democracy in administrative system, more liberal in social system, more wider tradition of knowledge and more better quality of life than compared to that it is today. A large number of population of our country is young. The young ones in age range 16 to 25 are in colleges and universities. There is imperative need for enhancing the power of positive thinking among this generation. We believe that even today, late Shri Rajiv Gandhi is a source of inspiration and icon for the younger generation in the country. He empowered youth aged 18 years with right of franchise and enacted revolutionary laws for welfare of women, dalits and backwards. The Study Circle will have effective role in a knowledge based society. Rajiv Gandhi Study Circle is not a forum for political competition and struggle for social authority. It is an effort to embolden the commitment of younger generation for social justice, secularism, values of democratic life and respect for sacrifices of great personalities during our freedom struggle, through constructive programmes. It is hoped that teachers and students of colleges and universities will augment the strength of the vision of Shri Rajiv Gandhi for nation building through their participation in Rajiv Gandhi Study Circle.
