Breastfeeding is amazing. But your body is doing A LOT of work behind the scenes. 🤱🏻

Milk production increases your nutritional demands, so postpartum is not the time to survive on chai + whatever’s left on your baby’s plate. 😭

Think about the basics:
🦴 Calcium — bones & muscle function
🩸 Iron — especially important if your stores were low after pregnancy
🧠 DHA + B12 + iodine + choline — important nutrients during lactation

And yes, breastfeeding mothers generally need extra energy too—around 330–400 kcal/day, depending on individual factors.

So if you're exhausted, don’t immediately blame motherhood.
Check whether your body is actually being fed enough to do the job.

And please don't turn this into a “eat more = gain fat” panic.
Recovery first. Weight loss can wait. 🤍

Your exact nutrition needs depend on your diet, health, breastfeeding pattern and nutrient status.

The transcript specifically highlights nutrient depletion, fatigue, calcium/iron/DHA and the need to eat adequately while breastfeeding.

“Baby 1 saal ka ho gaya… weight abhi tak kyun nahi gaya?”
A question postpartum moms hear far too often. 🙃

But postpartum recovery isn’t a race against the weighing scale.

Your body may still be dealing with inflammation, blood loss, breastfeeding demands and physical recovery—all while adapting to life after childbirth.

So if someone comments on your body at a wedding or family function, remember:

Your postpartum body is not public property.

There’s **no fixed deadline for postpartum weight loss. Start when you feel ready, supported and comfortable—not when relatives decide you should. 🤍

Send this to a new mom who needs to hear it.

I’ve worked with thousands of pregnant women. The ones who struggled the least had this in common. 👀

They didn’t wait for pregnancy to “fix” everything.
They prepared for it.

✔️ Got their nutrition checked
✔️ Started the right prenatal support early
✔️ Paid attention to iron, folate, B12, vitamin D & other key nutrients
✔️ Kept movement and sleep a priority
✔️ Managed existing health issues *before* they became pregnancy problems

Because pregnancy isn’t the time to discover what your body was missing. 😅

Good pregnancy nutrition starts before the bump.
And no, that doesn’t mean buying 17 supplements from Instagram. 🙃

It means knowing what YOUR body needs. 🤍

“Postpartum recovery mein mera focus weight loss nahi hota.” 🤍

Crash dieting ke baad postpartum women often come in worried about milk supply + weight loss.

But before cutting calories, look at the basics:
⚡Very fast weight loss
🤱 Less frequency of breastfeeding
💧 Hydration

Because sometimes, “weight loss” isn’t the problem to fix first. Recovery is.

Postpartum nutrition is about **supporting your body AND your baby—not fighting the scale.**

Save this if you’re a new mom. 🫶🏻
