Most people think the story starts when their fasting blood sugar or HbA1c becomes high.

But the changes that can eventually lead to type 2 diabetes may begin much earlier, actually years ago.

One of these changes is insulin resistance—when the body's cells become less responsive to insulin.

And here's something many people don't know:

Insulin resistance is NOT the same as diabetes, and it is NOT the same as prediabetes.

In the early stages, your body may compensate by producing more insulin, allowing your blood glucose to remain normal for some time.

So what could your body be showing you before diabetes is formally diagnosed?

There are some surprisingly common physical clues, symptoms and associated conditions that people often dismiss, overlook or simply don't connect with their future diabetes risk.

Some are visible.

Some are things you may have already been told by your another doctors, family & friends but never thought were connected.

And some symptoms become relevant only when blood glucose is actually beginning to rise.

I've put the important ones together—including what each clue may mean and, equally importantly, what it does NOT mean.

👉 Comment down “CLUES” and I'll send you the guide (ensure to follow me first to get the automated DM).

And don't stop here. 👀

In my next post, we're going one step further:

What if your FBS and HbA1c are normal?

Are there other numbers in your blood report that deserve attention when we're looking at diabetes risk and metabolic health?

Follow Dr. Inndu Kashyaapp MPT | PFPT & Corporate Wellness Trainer for the next post on labs beyond FBS & HbA1c.

🥣 What if your breakfast could nourish every cell, not just fill your stomach?

This bowl isn't just a high-protein breakfast. It's a thoughtfully balanced meal combining quality , , , , vitamins, minerals & antioxidants to support metabolic health, sustained energy & long-lasting satiety.

📊 Approximate Macros -
✔️ ~475 kcal | ~21 g Protein | ~49 g Carbohydrates | ~24 g Healthy Fats | ~8 g Fibre

🌟 Essential Micronutrients -
Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Phosphorus, Vitamin C, Beta-carotene (Vitamin A precursor), Vitamin E, Folate, Iron, Zinc, Omega-3 (ALA), Vitamin B12 & Riboflavin (Vitamin B2).

🧬 Better Nutrient Synergy -
✔️ Vitamin C naturally present in the fruit helps enhance the absorption of plant-based iron from the meal.
✔️ Healthy fats improve the absorption of fat-soluble carotenoids (Vitamin A precursors), helping your body make better use of these nutrients.

❤️ Why This Meal Is Metabolically Smart -
✔️ ~21 g protein supports muscle health, satiety and stable energy.
✔️ ~8 g fibre nourishes the gut microbiome, improves bowel health and slows glucose absorption.
✔️ Rich in monounsaturated fats and plant-based omega-3s.
✔️ No added sugar—sweetness comes naturally from fruit.
✔️ Estimated : ~18–20 (moderate). Because every bite contains protein, healthy fats, fibre and carbohydrates together, the post-meal glucose rise is likely to be slower and more controlled.

⏱️ Prepared in just 5–7 minutes, because healthy eating should be practical, not complicated. ⬇️The exact ingredients are in comment.

💡 Here's something most people don't realize...
The same meal can support weight loss, weight maintenance, muscle gain or cardiometabolic health. The difference usually lies in portion size, protein intake, activity level and your total daily nutrition—not whether a food is simply "good" or "bad."

💬 Follow this page & comment "PREP & GOAL". I'll DM you -
✅ The exact proportions I use.
✅ My time-saving tips to prepare this meal in just 5 min.
✅ How to modify this same meal for weight loss, diabetes/prediabetes, fatty liver, muscle gain, weight maintenance, children & exercise type.

That question crossed my mind too.

"How reading this book can make me a better person & physiotherapist?"

I don't read only to gain knowledge. I read to gain perspective.

As I started reading Ravana: Aryavart Ka Shatru, I realized that stories become richer when we resist reducing people to a single event.

We often remember Ravana for one act.

Yet, understanding a person requires looking beyond labels, beyond first impressions, and beyond what is immediately visible.

That's a lesson I hope to carry into every part of my life.

As a person, it reminds me to be slower to judge and quicker to understand.

As a physiotherapist, it reminds me that a diagnosis, a scan, or a symptom is never the whole story. Every day in my clinic, I try to understand the person behind the pain, their fears, experiences, lifestyle, and goal, because better care begins with better understanding.

Maybe that's the real value of reading.

Not that it gives us more answers, but that it teaches us to ask better questions.

📖 Current read: Ravana: Aryavart Ka Shatru by Amish Tripathi

No spoilers, please! I'll share more reflections after I finish reading.
