Today, the VHOP team conducted TB screening along with Chest X-ray (CXR) services across various tea garden areas under Lakhimpur district. The initiative focused on early detection of Tuberculosis (TB) through active case finding and ensuring timely access to screening and diagnostic services among the tea garden communities. Such outreach activities play a vital role in strengthening TB detection and referral services at the community level and supporting the goal of a TB-free Lakhimpur.

A crucial review meeting of the District Health Society, Lakhimpur was held today at the Conference Hall of the District Commissioner, Lakhimpur, under the chairmanship of the District Commissioner. The meeting was attended by the Additional District Commissioner (Health), Joint Director of Health Services, Lakhimpur, officials from Lakhimpur Medical College & Hospital, Sub-Divisional Medical & Health Officers (SDM&HO), Nodal Officers of various National Health Programmes, and officials from the DPMU and BPMU. The meeting comprehensively reviewed the progress of various ongoing health programmes and schemes across the district, including programme targets and achievements, quality of healthcare service delivery, functionality of health institutions, and progress in data reporting. Discussions also focused on Maternal and Child Health, Immunization, the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, Non-Communicable Disease, implementation of various National Health Programmes and strengthening the availability and quality of healthcare services at the grassroots level. The meeting emphasized coordinated efforts, effective programme implementation, and continuous monitoring to further strengthen the district’s healthcare delivery system and ensure accessible, timely and quality health services for the people of Lakhimpur.

A Block Review Meeting was held today at Nowboicha BPHC under the chairmanship of the SDM & HO. The meeting was attended by BPMU staff, all Community Health Officers (CHOs), and ANMs.

Key programme areas, including HMIS analysis, RI performance comparison between HMIS and U-WIN, DVDMS, the upcoming ANC Drive, Wage Compensation Scheme, proper utilisation of U-WIN by vaccinators, and preparations for the upcoming NQAS assessment, were discussed and reviewed in detail.

A special felicitation ceremony was also organised to acknowledge the commendable achievement of the teams from Dihingia Gosaikhat AAM and Sonapur AAM for securing NQAS certification. Their dedication and commitment towards ensuring quality healthcare services were highly appreciated.
