At 20 weeks, the fetus reaches the halfway mark in a typical pregnancy. Comparable in size to a banana or sweet potato, the fetus's brain sensory centers are rapidly maturing.

The fetus is increasingly active and responsive to external stimuli. An anatomy scan, a detailed ultrasound, is commonly performed at this stage to confirm the healthy development of organs and systems.

🤱 The 3 Stages of Labor: Your Body’s Incredible Journey to Meet Baby

Mama, understanding what happens during labor can turn fear into focus. Your body is designed for this—and knowing each stage helps you feel prepared, calm, and in control. From the first contraction to holding your baby skin‑to‑skin, let’s walk through the journey together. You are stronger than you think.

🔹 Stage 1: Early & Active Labor (Dilation)

· Regular contractions help the cervix open (dilate)
· Cervix goes from closed to 4 cm (early), then to 10 cm (full dilation)
· Your water may break (amniotic sac rupture)
· ✅ Focus: Breathe, rest between contractions, stay hydrated

🔹 Stage 2: Delivery (Birth)

· Cervix is fully open (10 cm) – time to push!
· Strong urge to push with contractions
· Baby moves down through the birth canal
· ✅ Focus: Push with your body’s urges, listen to your care team

🔹 Stage 3: Placenta Stage

· Placenta detaches from the uterus and is delivered (usually 5–30 minutes after birth)
· Skin‑to‑skin bonding with your baby begins
· ✅ Focus: Rest, recover, and enjoy your newborn

💡 Quick reminder: Every labor is unique. Stay positive, trust your body, and lean on your support team. You’ve got this.

Bladder anatomy differs significantly between males and females. The female urethra is shorter, which contributes to a higher risk of urinary tract infections. In males, the urethra is much longer and is positioned near the prostate gland. Understanding these structural variations is key to recognizing common urological issues and maintaining healthy bladder function throughout life.

🔍✨ A Look Inside the Body: Understanding Cystoscopy Simply ✨🔍

Have you ever wondered how doctors can examine the inside of the body without major surgery?
Modern medicine makes it possible with gentle, minimally invasive techniques — and one of them is called cystoscopy. 💛

🩺 What is Cystoscopy?
Cystoscopy is a medical procedure that allows doctors to look inside the urinary system, especially the bladder, using a very small camera.

🔦 The Tiny Camera Tool
A thin, flexible tube called a cystoscope is used.
It has a light and camera at its tip, sending real-time images to a screen so doctors can clearly see what’s happening inside.

💧 Viewing the Bladder Clearly
The cystoscope is gently guided through the urethra (the natural pathway where urine leaves the body) into the bladder.
A sterile liquid is used to fill the bladder slightly, helping doctors get a clearer view of its inner lining.

👶 Care During Pregnancy
If performed during pregnancy, extra care is taken.
The bladder sits close to the uterus, where the baby is protected within amniotic fluid.
Doctors carefully avoid any area that could affect the baby, ensuring safety at every step.

🦴 Understanding the Surroundings
Nearby structures like the pelvic bones and organs such as the re**um are also part of this area, each playing an important role in how the body functions.

🌿 Why This Matters
Cystoscopy helps doctors diagnose and monitor conditions in a precise and controlled way — without the need for major surgery.
