After a fall, road accident, or sports injury, knowing what to do in the first few minutes can help prevent further injury.

Remember these basic steps:

🛑 **Rest:** Stop using the injured area and avoid putting weight on it.

❄️ **Ice:** Use a cold pack wrapped in a cloth for 15 to 20 minutes. Never apply ice directly to the skin.

🩹 **Support:** Keep the injured area still and supported.

⬆️ **Elevate:** If appropriate and comfortable, gently elevate the injured limb to help with swelling.
