Lower back pain is common — but the reason behind it can be different for every person.

If you frequently experience lower back pain, some possible contributing factors may include:
🔹 Poor posture — prolonged sitting or incorrect posture can place additional stress on the back.
🔹 Muscle strain — lifting, bending, or sudden physical activity can sometimes strain the muscles.
🔹 Long hours of sitting — especially when combined with limited movement.
🔹 Spinal or joint-related problems — certain conditions involving the spine or surrounding structures may contribute to pain.
🔹 Weakness or reduced mobility — limited strength and flexibility can affect movement and daily activities.
⚠️ Important: Not every case of lower back pain has the same cause, and the appropriate treatment depends on the individual's condition and clinical assessment.
If your back pain is persistent, recurrent, worsening, or affecting your daily activities, consider getting it professionally evaluated rather than simply ignoring it.
At Sai Healthcare Wellness Center, Patna, Dr. Rajeev Singh and the team provide physiotherapy, pain management, non-surgical treatment and rehabilitation based on the patient's individual condition.

🦴 Tendinitis vs Tendinosis vs Tenosynovitis — They’re Not the Same
Tendon pain can be confusing.

You feel pain around your wrist, elbow, shoulder, knee or ankle—and it’s tempting to simply call it “tendonitis.”
But not every tendon problem is the same.

Three terms you may hear are:
🔴 Tendinitis
🔵 Tendinosis
🟢 Tenosynovitis
Understanding the difference matters because the assessment and management approach may differ from one condition to another.
🔴 1. TENDINITIS — Inflammation
Tendinitis refers to inflammation of a tendon.
It may occur following irritation, overuse, repetitive loading or certain injuries.
You may experience:
• Pain with movement
• Tenderness around the tendon
• Swelling in some cases
• Reduced ability to perform certain activities
🔵 2. TENDINOSIS — Degenerative Tendon Changes
Tendinosis involves degenerative changes within the tendon, often associated with repeated or prolonged loading.
It is different from simply having an acute inflammatory problem.
Symptoms can include:
• Persistent tendon discomfort
• Stiffness
• Reduced tolerance to load
• Pain during specific activities
🟢 3. TENOSYNOVITIS — Tendon Sheath Involvement
A tendon is surrounded by a protective sheath in certain areas of the body.
Tenosynovitis refers to inflammation involving the synovial sheath surrounding a tendon.
It may cause:
• Pain
• Swelling
• Tenderness
• Difficulty moving the affected area
🤔 WHAT CAN LEAD TO TENDON PROBLEMS?
Tendon problems don't always have one single cause.
Common contributing factors may include:
🏋️ Overuse or repetitive activity
📈 Sudden increase in training or workload
🔁 Repeated microtrauma
🤕 Trauma or friction
⚙️ Poor movement or exercise technique
For example, suddenly increasing your running, gym training, sports activity or repetitive work without allowing your body time to adapt can increase the load placed on certain tissues.
🩺 WHERE DOES PHYSIOTHERAPY FIT IN?
The first step shouldn't be:
“Which treatment should I take?”
It should be:
“What is actually happening?”
A physiotherapy assessment may consider your symptoms, movement, strength, flexibility, activity levels, functional limitations and the loads being placed on the affected area.
Depending on the condition, physiotherapy management may include:
✅ Activity & load modification
Adjusting aggravating activities while maintaining appropriate movement.
✅ Progressive strengthening
Gradually improving the tendon and surrounding muscle's ability to tolerate load.
✅ Mobility exercises
Addressing relevant movement restrictions where appropriate.
✅ Pain & symptom management
Using appropriate strategies to help manage symptoms and maintain function.
✅ Gradual return to activity
Progressively returning to work, sport, exercise or normal activities rather than rushing back too quickly.
💡 THE BIG TAKEAWAY
Tendon pain doesn't automatically mean you need complete rest.
And it doesn't mean every tendon problem should be treated in exactly the same way.

The right approach depends on the condition, the person and the demands being placed on the tendon.

At Sai Healthcare Wellness Center, Patna, we focus on understanding the individual problem and developing an appropriate physiotherapy and rehabilitation approach.

This post is for general educational awareness and does not provide a diagnosis. Tendon conditions can have different causes, and appropriate management should be determined following professional assessment. Results vary between individuals.

❤️ World PT Day 2026 — Team Celebration at Sai Healthcare Wellness Center

Yesterday, 8 September 2026, was more than just World PT Day—it was a celebration of movement, rehabilitation, teamwork and the people who make physiotherapy meaningful every day. ❤️

At Sai Healthcare Wellness Center, Patna, our team came together to celebrate World Physiotherapy Day 2026, with this year’s global focus on:

🫀 Heart Health & Stroke

The theme reminds us that physiotherapy goes far beyond treating pain and physical injuries.
Physiotherapists play an important role in promoting safe physical activity, improving physical function, supporting cardiovascular health and helping patients through stroke rehabilitation.

But behind every successful rehabilitation journey is something equally important:

A TEAM.
Yesterday's celebration was a beautiful reminder of the people working together every day—sharing knowledge, supporting one another and staying committed to helping patients move better and live more independently.

From assessment and exercise to rehabilitation and recovery, physiotherapy is ultimately about helping people regain confidence in movement.

And that mission becomes stronger when a dedicated team works together. 💙

🌿 A DAY TO CELEBRATE. A PURPOSE TO CONTINUE.
As we look back at yesterday's celebration, we are grateful to our entire team for their dedication, professionalism and continuous effort.

A special thank you to every patient and family who has placed their trust in Sai Healthcare Wellness Center.
Your journey inspires us to keep learning, keep improving and keep moving forward.

❤️ Yesterday we celebrated physiotherapy.
💙 Today, we continue the work.

Because every movement matters. Every recovery matters. And every patient matters.

Happy World PT Day 2026! 🙌

❤️ **WORLD PT DAY 2026 | HEART HEALTH & STROKE** 📅 **8 September 2026**🫀 Your Heart Needs Movement. Your Brain Needs It...
08/09/2026

❤️ **WORLD PT DAY 2026 | HEART HEALTH & STROKE**
📅 **8 September 2026**

🫀 Your Heart Needs Movement. Your Brain Needs It Too.

When we hear the word **physiotherapy**, we often think about back pain, knee pain, injuries or rehabilitation.

But physiotherapy has a much bigger role to play.

For **World PT Day 2026**, the global physiotherapy community is focusing on **cardiovascular disease and stroke**—highlighting how physiotherapy and physical activity can contribute to prevention, management and rehabilitation.

And there is an important message for all of us:

**MOVEMENT IS PART OF HEALTH.**

Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death globally. World Physiotherapy reports that CVD causes more than **20.5 million deaths each year—over 30% of global deaths**—with heart attack and stroke accounting for a large proportion of these deaths.

The good news?

**Regular physical activity is one of the important factors in maintaining cardiovascular health.**

But exercise isn't simply about “working out harder.”

For many people, especially those with existing health conditions, the right amount and type of activity need to be considered carefully.

🏃‍♂️ WHERE CAN A PHYSIOTHERAPIST HELP?

Physiotherapists are movement and exercise professionals who can help people:

🔹 Understand their movement and physical activity needs

🔹 Identify factors that may increase health risks

🔹 Develop **safe, personalized exercise programmes**

🔹 Progress physical activity according to individual ability and fitness

🔹 Improve strength, mobility and physical function

🔹 Support people managing long-term cardiovascular conditions

🔹 Encourage healthier and more active lifestyles

World Physiotherapy also highlights the role of physiotherapists in early action and recognizing warning signs that may require further medical attention.

---

🧠 AND WHAT ABOUT STROKE?

Stroke can change a person's life in a matter of moments.

But recovery doesn't end when the emergency treatment is over.

**Rehabilitation matters.**

After a stroke, a person may experience difficulties with:

🚶 Walking
⚖️ Balance
💪 Strength
🖐️ Coordination
🧍 Posture and movement
🏠 Everyday activities
🧠 Confidence and independence

Physiotherapy can play an important role throughout stroke recovery.

Exercise-based physiotherapy can support improvements in **physical function, mobility, balance and quality of life**, while helping people work towards greater independence in everyday activities.

❤️ FROM PREVENTION TO RECOVERY

This is why physiotherapy should not be viewed only as something you seek **after an injury**.

It can be part of a broader healthcare journey:

**PREVENTION → MANAGEMENT → REHABILITATION**

And movement can be an important part of every stage.

---

⚠️ ONE IMPORTANT REMINDER

If you have heart disease, have recently experienced a cardiac event, have had a stroke, or have other significant health conditions, **do not suddenly start an intense exercise programme on your own.**

Your exercise plan should be appropriate for your health status and may require coordination with your doctor and other healthcare professionals.

And if someone develops sudden symptoms suggestive of stroke—such as facial drooping, arm weakness or speech difficulty—**seek emergency medical care immediately.**

Physiotherapy rehabilitation begins after the appropriate medical evaluation and treatment.

---

🏥 AT SAI HEALTHCARE WELLNESS CENTER, PATNA

We believe physiotherapy is not simply about treating pain.

It is about helping people understand **movement, physical function and rehabilitation** in the context of their individual needs.

💙 THIS WORLD PT DAY, LET'S CHANGE THE CONVERSATION:

Don't wait until movement becomes difficult.

Don't think physical activity is only for athletes.

Don't assume rehabilitation ends when you leave the hospital.

**Move more. Move safely. Move with purpose.**

Because a healthier life isn't built in one day.

**It is built through the choices we make every day.** ❤️

💬 QUESTION FOR YOU:

**How many minutes of physical activity do you usually get in a day?**

Comment below—**10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30+ minutes, or “I need to start.”** 👇

Let's make this World PT Day a conversation about **movement and heart health.**

*This post is for general health education and does not replace medical advice. Exercise and rehabilitation programmes should be individualized according to a person's health condition, fitness level and clinical needs.*
