Robotic surgery offers an added margin of safety when managing challenging cases, particularly in patients with borderline low hemoglobin levels. This patient presented with a 6 × 6 cm left adrenal mass and a hemoglobin level of 9 g/dL. The patient successfully underwent a left robotic adrenalectomy, which proceeded smoothly with minimal blood loss.
Dr. Omprakash, who always encourages taking challenging cases, did a wonderful job at the patient side. The patient was discharged after two days without requiring any blood transfusion.
Special thanks to the anesthesia team, especially Dr. Shreenarayan, and everyone involved who embraced this challenge and made the procedure possible.
I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Smita for referring this case, and to our ZD, Dr. Anil Sir, and Mr. Ramawatar for their constant encouragement and support in performing robotic surgery.
