✨ Excited to welcome my new iom2 Biofeedback Device to the Shunya Neurofeedback family! ✨

Just unboxed this powerful little tool, the iom2 by Wild Divine/Unyte. It was my first device too 12 years ago, updated latest one to the family now.
It clips gently on your ear and gives real-time feedback on your Heart Rate Variability (HRV), helping you see and train your body's natural rhythm of calm, focus, and resilience.

HRV is one of the best windows into your nervous system, higher variability often means better stress recovery, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.

If you’ve been curious about biofeedback, HRV training, or how to build a calmer, more regulated nervous system drop a 💚 or DM me.

By the time we hit our forties, most of the jigsaw is in place. Career, family, health routines, the life we planned. But there are a few pieces that never quite fit.
This is a story about Arjun. Co-founder, investors, 140 people on payroll. He had the gym membership, the meditation retreat, the annual golf Sunday. By every measure he was on it.
So why did something feel missing.

In the last post I wrote about why we wait for a crisis before we look at the mind. About how previous generations survived on willpower and we inherited their silence as a template. About how the …

We wait until something breaks. Then we seek help. But what if that is the wrong strategy entirely? Twelve years of practice, a journey from protocol to instinct, and the one thing most people get wrong about therapy including why your best friend, your journaling, and your Vipassana cannot do what therapy does. And why that is not a failure.

“I don’t need therapy, I have my best friend.” Your best friend loves you. That is exactly why they cannot help you with this. “I don’t need therapy, I do breathwork a…

Doing everything right and still feel there is a gap you can't quite name or fill?

Sometimes the answer is not doing more. It is pausing. Listening to what your child's nervous system is actually asking for.

Do any of these sound familiar?

THE 2AM MIND Exhausted all day. The moment you lie down, the mind convenes its own board meeting. Every unresolved thing. Every conversation you should have handled differently. Every item on tomorrow's list.

THE FOG Open the laptop full of intention. Arrive at 6pm having produced almost nothing and feeling obscurely ashamed about it.

ON FUMES Delivering. Always delivering. But running on something that is not quite energy. More like momentum from the person you were before you got this tired.

THE PHONE Pick it up without deciding to. Put it down. Pick it up again. Not looking for anything. The nervous system reaching for reassurance in any form it can find.

These are not character flaws. These are not signs that something is permanently wrong with you.

They are a nervous system telling you something very specific.

And the brain map shows exactly what.

A quiet thought:

Can you sleep like a baby anymore?

Just exhausted enough. Eyes close. Mind settles. Sleep comes naturally.

No alcohol. No scrolling. No series playing in the background just to numb out.

When did falling asleep peacefully become so difficult?

They ask, “How do you sleep at night?”

Maybe the better question is — what does it mean when you can’t sleep without something external to silence your thoughts?

A small reflection on what we’ve traded for peace.

We all carry images. Not photographs, the ones inside. Of what happened, what was lost, what we're still waiting for. They colour everything. Who we let in, what we avoid, where we go numb.
This isn't always what we call trauma. Often it has no name at all.
This piece is about those images, what keeps them sticky, why we hold onto even the painful ones, and what it actually takes to come back to now.
Written under a full moon. Honestly.

On the images that keep us from now, and the work of coming back I was thinking about trauma while looking at the full moon last night, sitting on the grass. Often at moments of stillness like this…
