Students from VIT Chennai visited the Sri Ramachandra Innovation and Incubation Foundation (SRIIF) as part of an Academic–Industry Immersion Programme focused on healthcare innovation, co-incubation and startup collaboration. The visit provided exposure to advanced research facilities, specialised instrumentation and the Department of Occupational Therapy, helping students understand real-world healthcare challenges and identify opportunities for innovation. These interactions foster interdisciplinary learning, strengthen industry-academia partnerships and encourage the development of impactful healthcare solutions. SRIIF continues to support emerging innovators by creating pathways for research translation, entrepreneurship and collaborative problem-solving.

The SVDP Review Meeting, held on 04 April 2026, marked an important checkpoint in the journey of nurturing student-led innovation and entrepreneurship.

Teams from the Student Venture Development Program (SVDP) presented their product progress and key milestones, reflecting the transformation of ideas into structured, solution-oriented ventures. Each presentation highlighted not only technical advancements but also the teams’ growing understanding of market needs, scalability, and impact.

The session fostered a collaborative environment for insightful discussions, constructive feedback, and strategic direction—enabling teams to refine their approach and strengthen their roadmap for the next phase of development.

It was truly encouraging to witness the commitment, creativity, and entrepreneurial mindset demonstrated by the students as they continue to build meaningful and impactful solutions.
