Breastfeeding Journey: A Story of Determination, Support, and Hope
Breastmilk is one of the greatest gifts a mother can give her child. It provides the best start in life, and every baby deserves the opportunity to receive its benefits.
When I became a mother, I was determined to breastfeed my baby. However, like many new mothers, I quickly learned that the journey isn't always easy.
I had undergone a C-section, and my baby was born premature and underweight. The anxiety and emotional stress that followed were overwhelming. On top of that, I struggled with low milk supply and latching difficulties. Despite my strong desire to exclusively breastfeed, there were moments when I felt exhausted, discouraged, and unsure of myself.
Recognizing that we needed support, we consulted a lactation expert—one of the best decisions we made.
We were fortunate to meet Dr. Manisha at just the right time. She patiently guided us through the correct breastfeeding techniques, helped us choose the right breast pump, and taught us how to use it effectively (we soon realized we had been doing almost everything wrong!). She also advised us on improving milk supply and took the time to address our many doubts and misconceptions about breastfeeding.
Most importantly, she gave me something I desperately needed—confidence.
The journey was still far from easy. Newborn feeding is demanding, and the sleepless nights and constant feeding schedules often left me physically and emotionally drained. There were times when formula feeding felt like the easier option. But with God's grace, the support of my family, and Dr. Manisha's constant encouragement, I kept going.
Slowly but surely, things improved. My baby began gaining weight steadily and seeing that progress made every challenge worthwhile. Watching my little one thrive brought immense joy, pride, and a sense of accomplishment that is difficult to put into words.
If there is one message I would like to share with every new mother, it is this:
Please don't hesitate to seek help.
Even if breastfeeding seems to be going well, a qualified lactation expert can provide valuable guidance, practical tips, and reassurance. Also, remember that everyone will have advice to offer—some helpful, some not. Listen to experts, trust your instincts, and strictly stay away from negativity and discouraging comments.

Every mother and every baby are unique. Be patient with yourself, celebrate every small milestone, and remember that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
