# # # From Reflexes to Functional Development 🌱

A glimpse from our **Early Intervention Training Program** at Shri Ganesh Building Blocks Child Development Centre.

We were privileged to have **Dr. Saba Farheen, Occupational Therapist**, with her valuable experience in working with **high-risk newborns and infants and children with developmental concerns**, conduct a practical teaching session for our trainees.

👶 **Topic: Primitive Reflexes & Their Integration**

Through a hands-on demonstration using a dummy baby, trainees learned how to:
• Understand primitive reflexes and their developmental significance
• Observe reflex responses in infants
• Understand the process of reflex integration
• Relate reflex development to early motor and functional development
• Learn through practical demonstration rather than theory alone

Our **Early Intervention Offline Course** is designed to bridge the gap between **theoretical knowledge and real-world clinical skills**, with exposure to OT, Speech Therapy, Behaviour Therapy and Developmental Pediatrics.

Autism Early Intervention training program: Workshop for learners

✨ Building Skills. Building Confidence. Building Better Outcomes. ✨

The goal of this Early Intervention Training Program has always been more than teaching theory.

It is about helping professionals understand child development, clinical reasoning, communication, observation, and evidence-based intervention so they can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.

Over the past few weeks, we explored developmental concepts, speech and language foundations, anatomy of the vocal mechanism, assessment principles, and practical clinical discussions—bridging classroom learning with real-world practice.

This is just the beginning of a long-term vision: to create a platform for quality learning, ethical practice, and continuous professional development in the field of child development.

📚 Early Intervention Training Program – Learning Beyond Books

Building competent Early Intervention professionals requires much more than theoretical knowledge.

In today's session, participants explored the foundations of Speech and Language Development, including the components of language, anatomy and physiology of speech production, oral motor skills, and their clinical relevance in developmental disorders.

Through case discussions, anatomical illustrations, practical demonstrations, and evidence-based clinical insights, we focused on understanding not just *what to do*, but *why we do it*.

At our EI Training Program, the goal is to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world clinical practice, helping therapists develop the confidence and skills needed to work effectively with children with developmental delays and neurodevelopmental disorders.
