यूपी के गाजियाबाद में मशहूर मनोचिकित्‍सक हैं डॉ. आर चंद्रा। उनकी 40 साल की बेटी डॉ. हेमिका अग्रवाल की रविवार रात राजनगर एक्सटेंशन की ऑफिसर सिटी 2 सोसायटी में सातवीं मंजिल से गिरकर मौत हो गई। पुलिस की प्रारंभिक जांच में मामला आत्‍महत्‍या का बताया जा रहा है। डॉ हेमिका अग्रवाल भी मनोचिकित्‍सक थीं और पिछले कुछ महीनों से डिप्रेशन का शिकार थीं।

डॉ. हेमिका अग्रवाल अपने फ्लैट में अकेले ही रहती थीं। करीब डेढ़ साल पहले उनका पति से तलाक हो गया था। बताया जा रहा है कि तबसे वह डिप्रेशन से जूझ रही थीं। परिवार ने उनको संभालने की बहुत कोशिश की लेकिन सब व्‍यर्थ चला गया।

कहते हैं आत्‍महत्‍या एक जघन्य अपराध है। ऐसा माना जाता है की आत्‍महत्‍या करना कमजोरी की निशानी है लेकिन मुझे एसा अनुभव हुआ है कि ये एक प्रकार की हत्या है जिसके पीछे कई लोग और परिस्थितियाँ हो सकतीं हैं और जो आपके ही द्वारा आपकी हत्या करवा दी जाती है।

मान लीजिए कोई Depression मैं था तो वो व्यक्ती उस Depression मैं आया कैसे? किन परिस्थितियों या किन लोगों के कारण? और इतना severe depression था कि कोई अपना sense ही खो बैठा तो ये तो साफ जाहिर है कि इनकी life बहुत ही toxic हो गई होगी इसलिए इन्होंने एसा किया।

मैं खुद एक psychotherapist हूँ मैं अपने 10yrs के अनुभव से बता सकती हूं कि Emotions अगर sfocative हो जाए heal ना किए जाए तो आत्महत्या का विचार आता है। लेकिन जब आप स्वयं mental health ke profession मे होते हो तो एसा कदम उठा लेना लाजमी नहीं लगता क्यूंकि आपने उसका अध्ययन किया होता है यहां पर एक ही कारण नजर आता कि आप सभी की समस्याओं का समाधान निकल सकते हैं, ज्ञान दे सकते हैं लेकिन खुद के समय वो ज्ञान खो जाता है।

लेकिन हर mental health professional को आना चाहिए आनी चाहिए और अपने problems के solution निकलने और उनपर अमल करना आना चाहिए।

ज्ञान देना आसान है apply करना मुस्किल। मैं अपने patient को 💯 confidence के साथ बोलती हूं जो भी मैं session मैं उनको बताती और समझाती हूँ क्यूंकि मैं खुद उसको apply करती हूँ।

अगर मैं अपने mental health का ध्यान रख नहीं सकती तो मैं किसी से ये कहने भर की भी अधिकारी नहीं कि आप एसा करो वैसा करो।

Rest अभी तो पूरी जांच सामने नहीं आई है।

Do you wash your hands again and again even when they are already clean?

These behaviours are not always about being careful or responsible. Sometimes, they can be signs of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

OCD is a mental health condition in which unwanted, distressing thoughts (obsessions) create intense anxiety. To reduce that anxiety, a person feels compelled to perform repetitive actions (compulsions), such as excessive cleaning, checking, counting, or arranging.

Remember:
