✨Each posture a step inward, each breath a bridge to stillness.
This is the heart of our practice β€” not performance, but presence.

πŸ’« At first, it feels like a simple decision.

To step away for a while.
To go deeper into your practice.

But when you arrive in Rishikesh… something begins to shift.

🌿 At our House of Om x Rishikesh Yogpeeth ashram, life slows down.
You wake up surrounded by nature, with the sound of the Ganges in the distance.

Your days become simple, intentional, and present.
And little by little, you reconnect with yourself again.

🀍✨ Welcome to Rishikesh β€” where the mountains meet the sacred river, and yoga is part of everyday life.

Created in collaboration with House of Om and Rishikesh Yogpeeth, this is a place of deep presence, quiet transformation, and timeless wisdom. πŸ™πŸ»

The Ganga flows through it all β€” a sacred energy that has drawn seekers here for generations.

Wander through markets filled with incense, malas, and chai…
Pause on the bridge and feel the breeze…
Sit in silence at the ghat as the evening fire ceremony lights up the sky. ✨

And just above, hidden in the forest, is our ashram β€” a peaceful space for those ready to go deeper. 🌿

β˜€οΈHatha and Ashtanga are two traditional styles of yoga β€” but they approach practice in different ways.

✨Hatha Yoga is generally slower and more instructional.
Each posture is held for several breaths, with attention to alignment, breath, and awareness. It’s often used to build a strong foundation for beginners and to develop a mindful, balanced practice.

✨Ashtanga Yoga, on the other hand, follows a dynamic, fixed sequence of postures connected through breath and movement (vinyasa). The practice is physically demanding, rhythmic, and designed to build heat, strength, and endurance.

In this reel you can see the difference in Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar):

β€’ Hatha Sun Salutation β€” slower pace, pauses between poses, focus on technique and breath.
β€’ Ashtanga Sun Salutation β€” continuous flow, synchronized breath (ujjayi), more dynamic transitions like Chaturanga β†’ Upward Dog β†’ Downward Dog.

Both styles come from the same yogic roots β€” but offer very different experiences on the mat.

Which one feels closer to your practice? πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ
