Somewhere in 2012, our founders pointed at the mountain and said "There"

No road. No water. No electricity. Just a vision to give the world a beautiful yoga village carved into the Himalayas - and a team who decided to believe in it.

Construction 2014-2025..that's 11 gruelling years and COVID which broke our finances, but not our spirit and not our determination. Of course, with the help of all of you! ❤️🤗

Even today when students visit - if we do not share, they think - "well maybe the material was air-lifted and dropped!" 🙈..No it wasn't!! It was people who carried it - brick by brick, wood by wood. Hence the ongoing maintenance and always work going on at the ashram. Bulk of work only finished last year!

If you've practiced here, studied here or found something here you didn't have words for before - know that, this is your home in the mountains. It always will be.

To every student who walked these paths, and member of the team that built them: Thank You, we know we should say it more often than we do 🙏

Please re-post and let the magic be found by someone else in your community

Five hundred+ reviews! Students and Retreat guests who climb up the mountain - to be honest, it's not easy.,sometimes tiring, humid, and we have seen tired faces..but all with smiles, when they leave

We read every review, with anticipation and child like excitement. Some are single line, some are pages long! Written weeks after students get home, because as kaja put it - it took a while to find the words 🤗. Some told us where we can go better and that drives us to do better, be better.

All of this belongs to all of us - our ashram, its teachers, staff and also our students! Because it's the students who refer their loved ones to visit us..and thanks to that, students approach us with kindness and compassion.

Thank you for sharing your journey - we picked some to show here. We are thankful beyond words

Comment "Diwali" to know more

🪔 this Diwali, our Rishikesh ashram welcomes you to celebrate Diwali with us, at a place where the light meets the beautiful night sky of Himalayas

Every year our ashram slows down - students create Rangoli, participate in traditional Ganesh Ji and Lakshmi Ji Pooja vandana, followed by beautiful vegetarian food and the Diwali party and fireworks. Incidentally a few spots are open for the Yoga Teacher Training batch who will be here when Diwali is there, and some festival retreat spots too!

What a festival like Holi, Diwali and New Year at ashram - if you experienced already as our alumni, please comment / repost or forward on to your communities

Happy Diwali 2026! ❤️ See you here at

Years of practice behind each pose.

A body in constant movement, exploring, refining, and staying connected to the practice.

Because yoga is not only about mastering a pose, but about understanding how we move through it, and always more to discover beyond the pose.

More than 20 years of experience behind the practice for our teacher Naveen Ji 🙏

UNSEEN FACES OF YOGPEETH №3

Before the shalas.
Before the students.
Before any of it ... they were here.

Madhuri and Reena live in Patna village, next door to Yogpeeth.
They’ve gardened this land, helped build it, done whatever the season needed.
On graduation day, it’s their hands that stitch the blouses and drape the saris for every female student.

Look behind any graduation photos. They’re there.

Graduation Day. 🎓🙏

200h & 300h Yoga Teacher Training two groups, one family, countless transformations.

It has been a true honor to share this journey with each and every one of you. You leave with seeds. Trust them. Water them. They will grow.

We wish you the very best — on and off the mat. The world needs what you carry. Go share it. 🌱✨

Tag yourself and don't forget to share the love!

Time to slow down?

Meet Stéphanie. 🌸

She came to our ashram looking for a place to slow down, reconnect and take care of herself through yoga and Ayurvedic treatments.

And sometimes, the most beautiful part of a retreat is discovering how to carry that feeling of balance and self-care back home.

Thank you, Stéphanie, for sharing your experience with us.
