A proud moment for Hope Clinic, Shillong🎖️
We are delighted to share that Dr. Daljit Singh Sethi, HOD Dept of Internal Medicine and Director of Hope Clinic, has contributed as an expert co-author to the recently published national consensus document:
“Consensus Guidance for the Diagnosis and Management of Diabetic Kidney Disease: Executive Summary”
Published in the Journal of the Association of Physicians of India (JAPI), July 2026, this important work brings together leading national experts from the fields of diabetes, endocrinology, nephrology, cardiology and internal medicine to provide practical, evidence-based recommendations for the diagnosis and management of Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD) in India.
Dr. Daljit Singh Sethi represents Hope Clinic, Shillong, Meghalaya, among this distinguished national panel of experts—a reflection of his longstanding commitment to diabetes care, clinical excellence and academic medicine.
The consensus highlights the importance of early kidney scrscreening in people with diabetes, particularly through eGFR and urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR), alongside contemporary therapies aimed at protecting both the kidneys and cardiovascular system.
For Hope Clinic, this is more than a publication—it represents our commitment to bringing nationally recognised, evidence-based diabetes care to the people of Meghalaya and the Northeast.
Congratulations to Dr. Daljit Singh Sethi and all the distinguished contributors on this significant academic achievement.
