International Biodiversity Day Observed at Amrith Noni 🌿
International Biodiversity Day was observed at the Amrith Noni in Shivamogga with a meaningful awareness session on environmental conservation and sustainable living.
The programme featured an insightful address by Dr. Nagaraj Parisara, Head of the Department of Environmental Science at Sahyadri Science College, who spoke extensively about the importance of biodiversity conservation and the growing environmental challenges caused by plastic pollution. He highlighted the harmful impact of plastic waste on humans, wildlife, and ecosystems, and stressed the need for stronger public awareness and responsible action towards environmental protection.
Dr. Nagaraj Parisara also encouraged everyone to adopt eco-friendly practices in daily life and appealed to the public to celebrate birthdays by planting saplings instead of cutting cakes, promoting the message: “Cake Bidi, Gida Nedi” (Plant a sapling instead of cutting a cake).
Presiding over the programme, Dr. A. K. Srinivasamurthy, Managing Director of Valyou Products Private Limited (Amrith Noni), shared the inspiring journey and growth of the organisation. He emphasised that environmental responsibility is a collective duty and encouraged everyone to actively participate in conservation efforts. He also appreciated the dedication and teamwork of the entire Amrith Noni family, stating that sincere collective effort can achieve remarkable success.
The event was attended by the family members of Dr. Srinivasamurthy, the management team, and staff members of Valyou Products Private Limited. The programme was hosted by Shri Shashikanth Nadig, who also conducted an interactive question-and-answer session highlighting the importance of biodiversity conservation.
