🤰 High-Risk Pregnancy (HRP): Early Identification Can Save Lives

Not every pregnancy is the same. Certain medical conditions, previous pregnancy complications, or risks during the current pregnancy can make a pregnancy "high-risk", requiring special care and timely medical attention.

Some common high-risk conditions include:
• Severe anaemia
• High blood pressure
• Diabetes during pregnancy
• Previous C-section
• Previous stillbirth or neonatal death
• Multiple pregnancy (twins/triplets)
• Reduced fetal movements
• Preterm labour and other pregnancy-related complications

⚠️ Danger signs that require immediate medical attention:
• Severe headache
• Blurred vision
• Convulsions
• Vaginal bleeding
• Severe abdominal pain
• Swelling of face, hands, or feet
• High fever
• Breathlessness or chest pain
• Reduced or absent fetal movement

Regular ANC check-ups, timely investigations, proper nutrition, adequate rest, and institutional delivery play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of both mother and baby.

Every pregnant woman deserves a safe pregnancy and a healthy childbirth experience. Spread awareness. Encourage early registration and regular antenatal care.

❤️ Early identification and timely management of High-Risk Pregnancy can save the lives of both mother and child.
