We always hear people saying you should always have makhana over popcorn so let's find out which one is healthy.
Makhana :
Commonly associated with fasting, fox nuts are popular as ‘Makhana’. Used for centuries as a snack food, fox nuts have myriad benefits. Such as their beneficial properties that the Chinese use as medicine.
Fox nuts help to strengthen the spleen and kidneys. Almonds, walnuts, cashews and other dry fruits pale compared to fox nuts regarding nutritional value.
Indian cuisine makes great use of these. They can be roasted with a sprinkling of spices and condiments to provide a tasty treat. Makhanas are an excellent source of calcium.
Popcorn :
There are a few health benefits to eating popcorn. In addition to being high in fibre, popcorn also contains phenolic acids, a type of antioxidant. In addition, popcorn is a whole grain, an important food group that may reduce the risk of diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension in humans.
Popcorn contains lots of fibre and antioxidants, which can help prevent some serious health conditions.
