Not all hearing aid types handle monsoon the same way, and it comes down to design, not brand. BTE (Behind-The-Ear) devices sit outside the ear and catch the most direct rain exposure, so they need waterproof sleeves. RIC (Receiver-In-Canal) models are more exposed at the connector, which is why an IP68 rating is non-negotiable for this type. CIC (Completely-In-Canal) devices are naturally shielded from rain, but they sit deep in the ear canal where sweat and earwax buildup become the bigger risk. There’s no universal “safest” option, it depends on your lifestyle. Softone can help you find the right monsoon-ready fit.

Do not speak to them unless you are within 3 feet and directly facing them. Shouting from
