Year 2024 has been a huge success in rop screening in Gujarat with our Divya Drishti ROP program.
We did 7,587 screening sessions and enrolled 3,034 new babies into the program. Laser was done in 122 babies and anti vegf injections were given to 58 babies.
The sad part is operating 34 eyes with stage 4 and stage 5 ROP in last year in babies referred from elsewhere.
Still a long way to go.

November 2024 data
DDROPP did 719 screening sessions and enrolled 284 new babies in the program.
Treatment was done as laser to 7 babies and injections to 11 babies on time. 3 eyes of 2 babies underwent surgery for ROP who were referred from other areas to prevent permanent blindness.

October 2024 data of DDROP.
We made another record of doing 920 screening sessions and enrolled 370 new babies into our program.12 babies underwent lasers and 9 babies underwent anti vegf injections on time. 3 eyes required surgery which were referred from other hospitals due to advanced stage.

September 2024 data
This month DDROP program made new records -
We did 802 screening sessions and enrolled 312 new babies for ROP screening. 20 babies underwent laser and 8 babies underwent injection on time.
We did surgeries for five eyes of four babies which were referred from other places which suggest still a long way to go to prevent this devastating blindness due to ROP.

August 2024 data
We did 631 screening sessions this month and enrolled 252 new babies to the program and 14 babies underwent treatment on time in form of lasers and injections.

01/08/2024

July 2024 data -DDROPP
We did our highest of 682 ROP screening sessions and enrolled 297 new babies in July 24 month.
We did a total of 15 treatments(Laser to 8 babies, anti-vegf injection to 5 babies and did ROP surgery for 2 eyes).
Long way to go, till now baby reaches the surgical stage and each baby gets screened and treated on time.

This month we did 605 screening sessions and enrolled 254 new babies into the ROP screening program..
Did 17 ROP treatment in the form of laser and injections on time.
Operated 4 eyes for ROP surgery referred from elsewhere.
