On the occasion of the 12th International Yoga Day, the College of Physiotherapy, SSG Hospital, Baroda, Faculty of Medicine, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, organized a panel discussion on the theme “From Flexibility to Function: Yoga and Physiotherapy in the Journey of Healthy Ageing.”
The event was organized under the guidance of senior faculty Dr. Chetna Seju, who also served as the moderator for the panel discussion.
The distinguished panel comprised Dr. Shivani, Dr. Shagun, Dr. Hetvi, and Dr. Payal. The discussion highlighted the complementary roles of Yoga and Physiotherapy in promoting healthy ageing, maintaining functional independence, enhancing quality of life, and supporting overall well-being among older adults.
The session was highly informative, engaging, and interactive, encouraging active participation from the audience. Undergraduate and postgraduate students, along with senior and junior faculty members, attended the event enthusiastically and contributed to meaningful discussions.
The celebration of International Yoga Day has been a longstanding tradition of the Government College of Physiotherapy, reflecting its commitment to health promotion and holistic well-being. The institution’s Yoga Day activities are also registered under Yoga Sangam, an initiative of the Ministry of Ayush.
