Many individuals go to the gym with the goal of achieving a desirable physique or losing weight. However, the reality is that sustainable weight loss can be a challenge, and may require more than just exercise. It is important to have a balanced and healthy diet in conjunction with regular exercise to achieve weight loss goals.

When engaging in strength training, the body experiences muscle hypertrophy, or an increase in muscle size. This is a result of the muscle tissue adapting to the stress of exercise, and can lead to an increase in muscle mass. It is important to note that an increase in muscle mass does not necessarily mean weight gain, as muscle weighs more than fat. However, it is possible for individuals to experience a temporary increase in weight due to water retention caused by the inflammation that occurs during muscle repair.

It is important for individuals to remain patient and consistent with their exercise and dietary habits. Over time, as muscle growth slows down, weight gain will cease and the benefits of regular exercise will become more evident. Examples of effective exercises for muscle hypertrophy include weightlifting, bodyweight exercises such as push-ups and squats, and resistance band workouts. Additionally, incorporating cardiovascular exercise into a fitness routine can help promote weight loss and overall health.

We are looking for an energetic, creative, and enthusiastic Personal Trainer, reporting to the Personal Trainer Manager and Fitness Manager to join the Fitnation team. This is a non-exempt hourly position great for candidates looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization.
Administer fitness evaluations (Bio scores, Strength Data), orientations, stretching and personal training sessions
Establish and maintain a personal training client base according to company standards
Provide a high level of personalized attention to members
Maintain knowledge and/or participation in all club services, programs and products
Update and maintain the Personal Coaching App
Instruct and demonstrate to members on the proper use of equipment and exercise techniques which may include operating equipment and dynamically moving weight up to their Intensity.
Provide each member and potential member with the best quality customer service
Regular and predictable attendance
Attend Personal Training related meetings
Other duties as assigned
