Apex's Green Commitment in Karasada: Large-Scale Tree Plantation Drive Organized on World Environment Day
On the occasion of World Environment Day, a large-scale tree plantation drive was successfully organized in Karasada village under the leadership of Prof. Dr. S. K. Singh, Chairman of Apex Hospital, Varanasi. The initiative was conducted in collaboration with the Nursing and Allied Health Sciences institutions of Apex and the IEC Team of Varanasi Municipal Corporation, aiming to promote environmental conservation and sustainable development.
The program was graced by the special presence of Mr. Aman Kumar Maurya, IEC Zonal In-charge of Rishimandavi Zone, Varanasi Municipal Corporation. Under the guidance of College Administrator Prof. Gaurav Singh, faculty members including Prof. Rakesh Verma, Durgesh Kumar, Mithlesh, and a large number of students actively participated in the plantation drive. Various fruit-bearing and shade-giving trees such as Neem, Guava, and Jamun were planted, and participants pledged to ensure their protection and growth.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Prof. Dr. S. K. Singh emphasized that rising global warming and environmental imbalance have become serious challenges for humanity. He stated that tree plantation is not merely an event but a collective responsibility toward securing a healthier and greener future for coming generations. He urged citizens to plant more trees, nurture them, and actively participate in environmental conservation and biodiversity enhancement initiatives.
During the program, participants reaffirmed their commitment to environmental protection, increasing green cover, and conserving natural resources. The campaign was conducted in an enthusiastic and inspiring atmosphere, spreading awareness about environmental responsibility and motivating the community to contribute towards a sustainable future.
The tree plantation drive organized by Apex Institutions, carrying the message of **"One Tree – One Responsibility,"** proved to be a significant step toward environmental conservation and the creation of a greener, healthier society.
