🦚✨ The story of Krishna’s divine birth is more fascinating than you think…

According to Hindu tradition, Lord Krishna was born in Mathura to Devaki and Vasudeva at a time when the world was suffering under the tyranny of King Kansa. 🙏

A divine prophecy had foretold that Devaki’s eighth son would become the cause of Kansa’s downfall. Fearing the prophecy, Kansa imprisoned Devaki and Vasudeva and killed their children. 💔

Then, on the eighth day of the dark fortnight of the month of Bhadrapada, Krishna was born at midnight. 🦚🌙

At the moment of his birth, Vasudeva received divine guidance to take baby Krishna across the Yamuna to Gokul and leave him safely with Yashoda and Nanda. Despite the storm and overflowing river, divine forces helped Vasudeva complete the journey. 🌊🙏

This is why Janmashtami celebrates not only the birth of Krishna, but the victory of Dharma over Adharma, good over evil and hope over darkness. 🕉️✨

🐂🔱 The story behind every Shiva temple having Nandi sitting right in front of Mahadev...

Nandi Ji is not simply Lord Shiva’s vehicle. 🕉️
He is considered one of Mahadev’s greatest devotees, a guardian of the temple, and a powerful symbol of devotion, strength and complete surrender. 🙏

In most Shiva temples, Nandi is placed directly facing the Shivling, with his eyes fixed on Mahadev. 🔱

But why?

According to Hindu tradition, Nandi’s unwavering devotion to Shiva is the reason he remains eternally devoted to Mahadev. His position facing the Shivling represents a devotee whose mind and attention are completely focused on the divine.

🌙🔱 Why does Mahadev wear Chandrama on His head?

There’s a beautiful story behind the crescent Moon resting on Lord Shiva’s matted locks. 🙏

According to Hindu mythology, Chandra Dev was married to Daksha Prajapati’s 27 daughters, representing the 27 Nakshatras. But Chandra was especially devoted to Rohini, which angered Daksha. He eventually cursed Chandra, causing his radiance to fade. 🌙

Seeking relief, Chandra performed intense tapasya and surrendered to Mahadev. Moved by his devotion, Lord Shiva protected him and placed the crescent Moon upon His head. 🔱

That is why Shiva is known as Chandrashekhara — the one who wears the Moon as His crown.

🌙 The Moon represents the changing mind.
🔱 Shiva represents consciousness beyond those changes.
🕉️ Together, they carry a powerful message: master the mind rather than allowing the mind to master you.
