Breast milk is about 87% water, and breastfeeding increases your fluid needs.

💧 Keep a water bottle beside you while feeding.
💧 Hydrate yourself regularly throughout the day.
💧 Listen to your body’s thirst signals.

A well-hydrated mom is better able to meet her own needs while breastfeeding. ❤️

🚫 5 DRINKS YOU SHOULD AVOID GIVING CHILDREN

Not every drink marketed for kids is actually healthy for them! 👀

❌ Soft drinks & fizzy drinks
❌ Packaged fruit juices
❌ Energy drinks
❌ Sugary/flavoured milk drinks
❌ Caffeinated drinks like tea & coffee

💧 For most children, water + milk should be the everyday go-to drinks. Whole fruits are a better choice than fruit juice.

🚨 MYTH BUSTING: “Regular Processed food is OK for children!”

This is not about one packet of chips or one burger.

The problem is when ultra-processed foods become a regular part of a child’s diet—especially when they replace nutritious, whole foods.

This boy’s case of fatty liver is a reminder that metabolic health starts in childhood.

👉 Don’t wait for obesity or symptoms to take your child’s diet seriously.

Frequent intake can negatively affect metabolic health and increase the risk of obesity and its complications.

💛 Vitamin A drops for children — do you know why they are important?

Many parents think Vitamin A is only about good eyesight 👀 — but it plays an important role in vision, immunity, growth and development.

🇮🇳 Under India’s National Vitamin A Supplementation Programme, children receive Vitamin A supplementation from 9 months to 5 years, as per the recommended schedule.

🥕 And yes, a healthy diet with Vitamin A-rich foods is important too — but food should not be considered a replacement for the scheduled supplementation dose.

⚠️ Please don’t give additional high-dose Vitamin A supplements on your own. If you’re unsure whether your child has already received a dose, check with your pediatrician.

📌 SAVE this post so you can refer to the Vitamin A schedule later.
📤 SHARE it with another parent who needs to know this!
