Square poster with dark teal background and subtle molecule pattern. IIH Warriors India logo top-left, QR code top-right. Title "The IIH Chronicles" at top center. Center features a quote from the story. Bottom-left: circular badge with Bhanu's photo surrounded by blue-green butterflies alongside her details.

Quote 1: "My journey with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) began with something that felt both familiar and frightening recurrent, severe headaches. What followed was a long and exhausting phase of uncertainty, countless hospital visits, numerous medications, and no clear answers. Despite all the effort, nothing seemed to improve, and I was left feeling lost and helpless"

Quote 2: "Everything changed about three years ago, when I was finally diagnosed with IIH after a lumbar puncture at a hospital in Bangalore. I still remember lying on the bed when the doctors came in and gently told me that my test results confirmed the condition. They explained it calmly, but hearing about the possibility of vision loss for the first time was overwhelming. At that moment, I felt completely shattered."

Quote 3: "That day, IIH did break me. But over the past three years, my relationship with IIH has changed. What once felt like a burden has slowly become a turning point in how I see and treat myself. It has taught me to pause, to listen to my body, and to prioritise my well-being in ways I never did before."

Quote 4: "There have been many challenges in managing the pain, dealing with uncertainty, and navigating days when even simple tasks felt difficult. But there have also been quiet victories: learning to slow down without guilt, recognising my limits. Pausing and taking breaks no longer makes me feel guilty about myself anymore about my work."

Quote 5: "Today, I don't see myself as someone who is just managing IIH symptoms. Instead, I see myself as someone who is learning to care for herself more intentionally. IIH has pushed me to love myself more, to take better care of my body, and to truly value rest and healing."

Followed by the quote 5, the last poster has subtly integrated the lyric in Hindi with translation within the design:
“रुक जाना नहीं तू कहीं हार के
कांटों पे चल के मिलेंगे साये बहार के
ओ राही, ओ राही…”
“Do not stop, do not give up in defeat;
Even if you walk through thorns, you will find the shade of spring.
O traveler, keep going…”

Template Description - Square poster with dark teal background and subtle molecule pattern. IIH Warriors India logo top-left, QR code top-right. Title “The IIH Chronicles” at the top center. Center features a quote from the story. Bottom-left: circular badge with Neha's photo surrounded by blue-green butterflies alongside her details.

Quote 1: "IIH is not just a medical diagnosis—it is a lived reality, a journey of resilience, and a testament to the human spirit’s ability to adapt and thrive against daunting odds."

Quote 2: "I am Dr. Neha Bhagwani, a researcher, and my journey with IIH began unexpectedly, marked by relentless headaches, vomiting, dizziness, and sudden disturbances in vision. At first, my symptoms were mistaken for a simple stomach infection. What followed were 15 excruciating days of confusion, uncertainty, and unmanageable pain before the correct diagnosis was finally made."

Quote 3: "By that time, the damage had already been devastating, an opening pressure of 46 cm H₂O had left me with nearly 99% vision loss. In just a matter of days, I had gone blind. Conventional medication could not control such elevated pressure, and I had to undergo TP/LP shunt surgery(spine).
Though intimidating, that surgical intervention became a pivotal moment in my life. It gave me back a portion of my sight—not complete, but just enough to hold on to hope. It reminded me that even in the deepest darkness, there can still be light."

Quote 4: "Yet, IIH is more than its physical manifestations. It carries with it a silent, emotional weight that is often overlooked—the constant adjustments in lifestyle, the strain on relationships, and the unspoken battles with anxiety, depression, and isolation. What has been particularly painful is society’s lack of understanding. To many, IIH is invisible, and this invisibility breeds further alienation."

Quote 5: "But I refused to let IIH define me. Despite vision loss and constant uncertainty, I chose to rise from despair, rebuild my identity, and continue forward.
Today, I am the founder of Dr. Neha’s Classes, an educational center where I dedicate myself to empowering students through knowledge. Each day, I seek to prove that resilience does not mean life without hardship—it means finding the courage to move forward in spite of it."

Quote 6: "IIH has transformed the way I perceive life. It has taught me that real strength lies not in what we lose, but in what we choose to reclaim. Through determination, courage, and an unwavering will, I have learned not to measure my life by limitations, but by my ability to rewrite them into purpose."
Song Lyrics next to the photo: “मैं अपनी ही दुनिया बनाऊंगी..
इक ज़िंदगी मेरी, सौ ख्वाहिशा..
मैं जीना, मैं जीना, मैं पूरी तरह
I will create a world of my own..
This one life of mine, a hundred dreams..
I will live—truly, fully.”

Body Text Quote:
1 — “For me, IIH came into my life suddenly and taught me to take my health seriously. It's tough, but it also made me more aware of myself. My journey has had its ups and downs—headaches, blackouts, hospital visits, and a lot of initial confusion—but slowly I learned to manage it. Every small improvement felt like a win. I manage it by following my doctor’s advice, taking my medications on time (even the 5 AM ones!), maintaining my routine, avoiding overexertion, and learning when to slow down and listen to my body.”

2 — “The moment that stands out the most is my initial diagnosis. The first doctor I consulted attributed my symptoms to obesity (which I don’t even have) and advised dieting without a proper diagnosis. Within three days, I developed visual disturbances, and during an eye checkup, I suddenly felt dizzy and experienced multiple bouts of vomiting—not at all a good sign. Thankfully, through my brother’s volunteers network, we connected with IIH Warriors India, who guided us to compassionate doctors.”

3 — “This experience taught me one thing: finding the right doctor and guidance early can make all the difference. The wrong doctor at the wrong time can cost far more than just time—it can be dangerous.”

Song Lyrics (appearing on Poster 3):
“తరలిరాద తనే వసంతం తన దరికి రాని వనాలకోసం;
గగనాల దాక అలసాగకుంటే మేఘాల రాగం ఇలా చేరుకోదా…
English Translation:
“Will the Spring itself not come down leaping, to the wilderness that could not reach it?
And so what if a wave cannot rise all the way to the sky?
Won’t the song of the clouds still descend and find its way to the Earth?”

Body quote: "In 2021, after my first dose of the Covishield vaccine, I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, and since then, life has been nothing short of a relentless roller coaster. The constant battle with rising intracranial pressure, chronic headaches, radiating pain from my neck to my shoulders and hands, motion sickness, and cognitive struggles has tested every ounce of my strength.
Yet, even amidst this chaos, I managed to clear the SSC exam and step into the role of a central government employee—an achievement born out of resilience.
On the outside, I may look perfectly normal, but inside I am fighting silent wars against flare-ups, fatigue from heavy medications, and the heartbreak of turning down simple joys like trips & gatherings with family & friends.
But now, I embrace a profound truth—this illness may be unchangeable, lingering for a lifetime, yet it will never dim the fire within me. I am strong enough to stand tall, to fight fiercely for my quality of life, and to hold onto hope that beyond the pain, beyond the struggle, I will continue to rise, unmatched in spirit and unyielding in courage."
Below the quote: a circular awareness frame with IIH ribbon enclosing a photo of Neenu Narayan, alongside the Malayalam lyric with English translation: "എന്നിലെ ഞാൻ മറുകാണുമ്പോൾ,
മരണം പോലും വിടവാങ്ങാറില്ല,
കനൽപോലെ ഉറവിടങ്ങൾ എന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ തെളിയുന്നു."
When I see myself from inside,
Even death does not say goodbye,
Springs like firelight shine within me."
