Cryotherapy has been a standard dermatology treatment for decades. But in modern clinics we also have procedures like radiofrequency ablation, which remove lesions under direct visual control.

The difference between these techniques isn’t just technical — it can affect:

• how predictable the treatment is
• how many sessions are needed
• the risk of pigment changes in darker skin

Exosome treatments are suddenly everywhere in aesthetic medicine.

Patients are being offered exosome injections for hair loss, skin rejuvenation, and “regenerative” anti-ageing treatments.

The science behind them is genuinely interesting. Exosomes are tiny signalling particles released by cells that can influence tissue repair, inflammation, and cellular communication.

But the key question is: does the clinical evidence match the hype?

Some early studies show promising results, especially in hair loss and wound healing. But most studies are still small, follow patients for short periods, and use products that vary widely in how they’re made.

That means we’re still learning where exosomes truly fit in dermatology.
