Why One Treatment Doesn’t Fit All – The Wisdom of Ayurveda
Have you ever wondered why some people respond quickly to treatment while others don’t, even if they have the same disease name?
That’s because every disease is not the same in every person. Each illness can have many causes, different stages of pathogenesis (disease development), and varied symptoms. For example, two people may both be diagnosed with acidity—one may get headaches and feel irritated, while the other may feel burning in the stomach. The root cause, body type, lifestyle, and mind of each person are different.
Modern medicine often gives one standard protocol for a disease. But Ayurveda says:
"Know the disease, but treat the person."
This means Ayurveda looks deeper—at your unique body constitution (Prakriti), imbalances (Vikriti), mental state, and lifestyle before suggesting treatment. That’s why no two people are given exactly the same treatment in Ayurveda.
Ayurveda believes in personalized healing. When the treatment is based on your individual root cause, not just the disease label, the healing is deeper and more long-lasting.
