This is an educational hub for Nuzvidu, Tiruvuru and Mylavaram. The three famous educational institutes in Vissannapeta are SRI SRI, Siddhartha and Vikas. These institutes offer L.K.G. TO P.G., D.Pharmacy, B.Pharmacy, Polytechnic, B.Ed., T.T.C. Vissannapeta has reconstructed old temple Sri Lakshmi Tirupatamma temple, Tirpathamma Kalayanam, Seva and Bonalu are famous in Tirupathamma temple, another
famous templae Shivalayam in Sattupalli road, Kalyanam and Rath yatra on Mahashivratri day are famous in Shivalayam. Also, Kanaka Durga Temple, near to Siddhartha School is another popular one. Vissannapeta is famous for mango gardens and competes with the Nuzvid which is famous for its mango crop in Andhra Pradesh. The Banginapalli mangoes of Vissannapeta are exported to all the major cities in India and overseas. This is a good place to establish mango bi-product factories. A lake constructed by the Govt of AP, is now able to supply water in Tiruvuru constituency.
