Over the years, many of you have asked if I offer weekly or ongoing private lessons. Because of our touring schedule, it’s often been difficult to offer the consistency and focus that students truly deserve on a lesson by lesson basis, so most of my teaching has taken place through workshops and Summer School (Comment "summer school" to learn about our Summer School session in August).

Last fall, I opened up my first mentorship series for previous Summer School students, and worked with a couple of students in a private mentorship format for the first time. It was a really meaningful experience for all of us. Each came in with a different intention, one focused on a specific instrument and recording, with the goal of creating her own guided meditation, while the other wanted to learn how to use newly acquired studio equipment for looping and producing Sound Journeys and guided meditations.

By the end of the 8 weeks, both had completed projects they could confidently share with their communities. Now, only a few months later, one student has released her work on Insight Timer and the other is recording sessions at home from her studio for her clients!

This May and June, I’m opening this 8-week mentorship up again and offering it to a wider audience for the first time! I am pulling from 17 years of traveling the world with my music in over 1,500 live events, and sharing that experience with you to help guide you in your musical journey.

I want to ask you:

Is there a deeper creative project that’s been pulling at your heart—something you’d like guidance and support with along the way?

Are you feeling called to dive deeper into an instrument, or move through a plateau in your practice?

This will be an intimate, hands-on experience for approximately 6 students, allowing me to truly focus on your individual path and dedicate meaningful time to your growth. I currently have 4 signed up, as it was offered to our previous Summer School participants and our email list first. I have space for 2 more students!

We’ll meet for eight 90-minute sessions (online, or in person if you’re able to travel to my studio), along with a 30-minute introductory call to explore your intentions and map out your direction.

Each mentorship is personalized. We can explore:
🎶 Deepening your relationship with your instruments - Handpan, Didgeridoo, Flute, Gong, Crystal Bowls, Synths, and more
🎶 Sequencing, melody, rhythm, and music theory for Sound Journeys
🎶 The business of sound work and holding transformative spaces
🎶 Recording, mixing, and music production
🎶 Or a deeper dive into your personal journey with sound

This is for those who are ready to commit to their practice by setting aside intentional time for growth, creativity, and refinement.

Message me or comment "mentorship" for more details!

I’m looking forward to working closely with those who feel ready for this next step.

With gratitude,

Jeremy

We’re excited to announe that our friend and long time collaborator, Elizabeth McNeil of KARMA Yoga (Elizabethtown, KY) will be joining our facilitation team for Spirit of Atitlán, our next yoga, sound, and wellness retreat in Guatemala. She will be teaching yoga accompanied by our music (in addition to Jane Bloom from Dwell Yoga - Las Cruces, NM). We’re blessed to be joined by these two highly experienced teachers who are pillars of their local yoga communities.

~~~~~~~~
About Elizabeth:
Elizabeth's yoga journey began in Memphis, TN, where she first discovered the transformative power of the practice. After relocating to Elizabethtown, KY, she deepened her studies under Cheryl Bennett, who introduced her to Yoga East in Louisville — a pivotal connection that led her to her beloved teacher, Laura Spaulding, and the disciplined art of Ashtanga Yoga.
Driven by a deep commitment to growth, Elizabeth has traveled extensively to study with world-renowned master teachers including David Swenson, Tias Little, Richard Freeman, François Raoult, and Doug Keller — completing both her RYT-200 and RYT-500 certifications along the way.
For over two decades, Elizabeth has shared her passion for yoga with children, adults, and seniors throughout Elizabethtown. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in meeting each student exactly where they are — blending the wisdom of multiple yoga traditions to create classes that are safe, creative, and joyful.
What truly sets Elizabeth apart is her background as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, a credential that deepens her ability to guide students toward mindful, alignment-based practice — helping every body move with greater ease, confidence, and awareness.
Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or returning to deepen your practice, Elizabeth's classes offer a welcoming space to explore, heal, and thrive.
Today is our last full day in South Africa and we are in Johannesburg. It also happens to be Freedom Day, which commemorates the first democratic elections of the history of the country and the official end of Apartheid in 1994. It was the day that Nelson Mandela was elected. While it is a day of observation of the struggles that led to the struggle for liberation in South Africa, it is also a day in which the people reflect on all of the things left undone and the unfinished business left over from that chapter of their history. We noticed some large labor union strikes on our way to the museum, a sign of the struggles that black South Africans still face in the modern day.
Nancy and I decided to go to the Apartheid Museum as part of Freedom Day. Typically, it is closed on Mondays, but was open today as part of the Freedom Day happenings around the city.
Photos are not allowed inside, so we only have a few from the outside. Right from the start, they put you in the mindset of living in a segregated society and give you tickets for whites and non whites. Nancy and I had to choose who went to which door, and were separated for the first part of the exhibit, and shown a different side of the history for that section.
They also happened to have a temporary exhibit on the life of Nelson Mandela, which was very well done and incredibly informative.
We spent 4 hours in the museum, which was about all the information the brain could handle. It felt like getting a semester’s worth of history in that short time.
It was an incredible museum, a somber experience, and a great glimpse into the tumultuous modern history of South Africa.
It put into perspective a lot of the tensions that are still present in South Africa today. In many ways, the effects of Apartheid are still present here based on how the power and resources are structured throughout the modern society here, and how people have access to land, home ownership, different levels of education and work, etc.
It’s hard to believe that this horrible chapter of human history only ended during my childhood, meaning that people my parents age were perpetrating this, and many are still alive today.
We’ve been having a lovely tour so far and have been enjoying the Carolinas the last week and a half. Today we went for a hike in the state park, only to discover that we were in the only place on the planet that Venus Flytraps grow wild (within a 70 mile radius from here). We got to see them and Pitcher Plants growing in their native habitat!
Saturday (3/14), join us at Yoga Den Mandarin first for a workshop working with Crystal and Himalayan Bowls, followed by a Sound Journey in the evening.
Sunday (3/15), we are at Blue Cypress Yoga Studio in St. Augustine.
Monday (3/16) and Tuesday (3/17), we’re in Gainesville at Yoga Pod. *nearly soId out*
