💊As future pharmacists, managing these dietary interactions is a core element of patient care. It requires vigilance in applying auxiliary warning labels to prescription bottles and conducting thorough medication reviews that account for a patient's diet and supplement choices. During consultations, the pharmacy team must effectively communicate the science behind these risks and guide patients toward safer dietary habits. Fortunately, clinical evidence shows that alternative citrus options like naval oranges, lemons, and limes do not inhibit these enzymes, providing a safe alternative for patients.
