🔬 From mechanism to translation: a new step in MLS® laser therapy research

We are proud to share a new publication developed within the ASA Campus Joint Laboratory, in collaboration with the Division of Neonatology, Careggi University Hospital (Florence) and the University of Florence.

This study investigates MLS® laser therapy in an advanced ex vivo lung model (precision-cut lung slices)—a system that preserves tissue architecture and cellular interactions, bridging the gap between in vitro and in vivo research.

Key insights:

Significant reduction of IL-6 and TNF-α
Comparable energy, different outcomes depending on delivery parameters
Evidence that power density and exposure time influence biological response

Why it matters:
Understanding how laser energy interacts with complex tissues is essential to move from empirical use to mechanism-driven, reproducible protocols.

This work contributes to building a stronger scientific foundation for the future development of MLS® laser therapy.

Wound management remains one of the most demanding challenges in healthcare.

Chronic lesions, diabetic ulcers, delayed post-surgical healing, ...
Too often, conventional approaches are not enough to actively drive tissue repair.

At EWMA 2026 - European Wound Management Association - EWMA , ASA will be there to discuss a different perspective.

📍 Bremen (Germany 🇩🇪) | May 6–8
📍 Hall 5 – Stand F03

We will explore how MLS® Laser Therapy supports wound healing at the biological level:
✅ modulation of inflammation and oedema
✅ stimulation of cellular activity and tissue regeneration
✅ optimization of healing timelines and clinical workflow

An approach designed not only to manage wounds—but to actively promote repair.

If you are looking to go beyond standard care and address the underlying mechanisms of healing, this is the conversation to have.
See you in Bremen!

🚀 3D bioprinting + laser therapy: a new frontier in wound care

A new preclinical study from the ASA Campus Joint Lab (with University of Florence) explores what happens when bioprinting meets photobiomodulation.

🧬 The result?
A combined approach that showed:
✔️ better tissue regeneration
✔️ improved graft integration
✔️ less fibrosis

Not just laser as support — but part of a regenerative strategy.

Even more interesting: potential future applications in extreme settings like space medicine 🌌

This is early-stage research, but it opens exciting possibilities for the future of tissue repair.

Proud to see MiS laser joining new clinics ✨🇩🇪
A laser device that acts on pain and its causes, combining enhanced MLS® and Hilterapia® for effective and long-lasting results, especially in the treatment of neuropathic pain.

Thank you for choosing ASA technology Base Camp Physio 💙
