💡 Endoscopic resection of a persistent juvenile angiofibroma (JA) following incomplete previous surgery.

🔎 Persistent JA after incomplete resection represents a challenging surgical scenario, often characterized by distorted anatomy and residual disease. Successful management requires meticulous preoperative planning, a thorough understanding of endoscopic anatomy, and advanced endoscopic surgical expertise.

📹 In this video, we demonstrate the endoscopic management of this complex case with persistent JA involving right infratemporal fossa and cavernous sinus, highlighting the key surgical steps, anatomical landmarks, and technical pearls for achieving complete removal.

The 10th ENDOATHENS World Congress has come to an end, leaving behind not only outstanding scientific achievements but also a truly emotional celebration of a surgical legacy.

🏛️ Throughout the congress, RhinoEdu Como contributed with 12 invited lectures, sharing expertise in endoscopic sinonasal, orbital, and skull base surgery with colleagues from around the world.

🏆 The most meaningful moment of the meeting was undoubtedly the tribute to Paolo Castelnuovo, one of the pioneers of modern transnasal endoscopic surgery and a worldwide reference in endoscopic skull base surgery.

🎙️ A special honor was entrusted to Paolo Battaglia, who delivered the official tribute, retracing the extraordinary professional and human journey of his mentor and highlighting the impact he has had on generations of surgeons worldwide.

🚀 Building upon this legacy, RhinoEdu Como, ASST Lariana and the University of Insubria are committed to carrying forward a tradition of excellence in research, education, and surgical innovation, inspiring and training the next generation of surgeons while continuing to shape the future of endoscopic surgery.

🚨 We are excited to share our latest publication (open access) on The Laryngoscope: “Nasal Branch of the Anterior Ethmoidal Artery and Cribroethmoidal Groove: New Frontal Sinus Landmarks.”

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/lary.70041

📖 This study highlights the nasal branch of the anterior ethmoidal artery (NbAEA) and the cribroethmoidal groove (CrEGr) as reliable and consistent surgical landmarks for advanced frontal sinusotomies.

🪡 Identified in 100% of cases, these structures may enhance safety and precision in endoscopic frontal sinus surgery, particularly in complex anatomies and revision procedures.

👨🏻‍⚕️ Special thanks to Alessandro Vinciguerra and to our entire team for this great job!!!

Stay tuned for more!!!
