Don't overthink
Don't control
Don't analyse
The more you force yourself NOT to do something is the moment you get obsessed with it.
I tended to do that a lot. And sometimes I still slip into the trap!
Like in this video, I had just moved to Tenerife. Full of emotional charge accumulated.
Taking space from a toxic reality, I finally decided I no longer belonged.
Life forced me to stay in and face all the thoughts.
"What am I doing with my life?"
All the What if..the fears and the blablabla
All the possible judgements from the most improbable people I didn't ever care about.
I over thought every thought a human being could possibly think of.
And then what?
Is there even an end in the overthinking process?
Good news, There is!
It is the second you decide you had enough.
And just leave your mind by herself doing the monkey...and here is when you even laugh about it 😂
Cause you recogn it is not you, and finally take your power back. Your attention and energy back.
That's the turning point! I love that moment.
It is like breaking free from yourself.
I know it is exhausting still, but here are some tips I found very useful to use in those moments of chaos, hope they can help you too!
Let it talk (the mind)
Observe the thoughts but take distance, don't judge them or questions them.
Just observe like it was a movie on TV 🍿
[Yes you can grab some popcorn if u like]
Breath in and breathe out, consciously. Just that.
You can also write them on your journal to keep track.
Even if they are the most crazy thoughts, allow them to arrive to you. Observe them and then let go.
Go walking, move your body. Dance and Sing.
Drink water and eat healthy.
* MOST IMPORTANT*
Don't be hard with yourself.
Feel compassion, be kind to you.
Laught with no reason.
Give contradictory input to the monkey.
Stay in the present and keep doing your things.
Don't push them away. Stay, Listen, let go.
No rush, calm.
Lots of magic for us all today✨
