A little behind-the-scenes update from me.
I don’t often share what I’m doing in the background and tend to keep a lot of my personal journey private, but this feels like something worth sharing.
After 10 months of training, study, practice, self-inquiry, and more than a few moments of self-doubt, I am now a qualified yoga teacher.
Yoga has been part of my life for much longer than these last 10 months. I first came to yoga at the age of 17 through a class at school, and although my practice has evolved over the years, it has remained a constant thread running through many different chapters of my life.
My yoga teacher training journey didn’t begin last year. I first enquired about teacher training back in 2018, but life led me down different paths. Those years brought many lessons, deeper healing work, and eventually training in ThetaHealing, all of which have shaped the way I now hold space for others.
The opportunity to train came around again, and although the timing wasn’t quite right at first, I trusted that when it was meant to happen, it would. Looking back, I can see that everything unfolded exactly as it needed to.
I’m deeply grateful to everyone who supported and encouraged me along the way. A special thank you to Tina Pavlou , whose belief in me came at just the right moment, and to and the team at OrangeYoga CIC • Yoga Cheltenham for sharing their knowledge, experience and passion so generously. Thank you also to my fellow YT22 classmates. It was a privilege to learn alongside such a wonderful group of people.
And now the next chapter begins.
My first classes as a qualified teacher will be taking place at our Tuscany Cleanse Retreat, which starts this Saturday. There feels like something very special about beginning this journey in a space dedicated to healing, nourishment, connection and wellbeing.
This experience has reminded me that not everything arrives on our timeline. Sometimes the things that are meant for us require patience, trust and a willingness to take the longer route.
I’m looking forward to sharing what I’ve learned.
