POV: You have guests coming over for morning coffee, so you wake up a little earlier to bake something homemade. ☕️🍂🤎

There’s something so lovely about slow mornings, the smell of freshly baked muffins, and making your home feel warm and welcoming.

Made these healthy banana oat muffins with just a few simple ingredients — no added sugar, butter or oil! 🍌

🍌 Easy Banana Oat Muffins

Ingredients:

* 2 ripe bananas (thawed if frozen)
* 120g oats (blended into flour)
* 2 eggs
* 60ml milk
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
* 1 tsp cinnamon
* 1½ tsp baking powder (optional, for fluffier muffins)

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan).
2. Mash the bananas and mix with the eggs, milk and vanilla.
3. Add the oat flour, cinnamon and baking powder, if using.
4. Let the batter rest for 5 minutes, then divide into muffin cases.
5. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and cooked through.

And that’s it! Simple, wholesome and perfect with your morning coffee. ☕️

Save this recipe for your next cozy morning at home. 🤎

To all my friends who became mums before me… I’m sorry. 🤍

I’m sorry because I simply didn’t get it.

I didn’t understand how beautiful, yet incredibly hard motherhood can be. How lonely it can feel, even when you’re never alone. How exhausting it is to be needed every minute of every day. How easy it is to lose yourself while giving everything to someone else.

I didn’t realise how much you might have needed me.

And I now understand that saying “let me know if you need anything” isn’t always enough.

Sometimes you need someone to just show up. To bring you coffee. To check in without being asked. To offer to hold the baby so you can have a shower. To sit with you, listen to you, and remind you that you matter too.

Because when you’re in the thick of motherhood, even asking for help can feel like another task on your never-ending to-do list.

I wish I had understood all of this sooner.

Motherhood has opened my eyes in ways I never expected. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that mums don’t just need a village. They need a village that shows up without being asked. 🤍

To all the mums who came before me, I see you now. ❤️

Becoming a mum doesn’t mean becoming less of yourself. 🤍

You’re allowed to adore motherhood and still want more.

More purpose. More freedom. More abundance. More creativity. More experiences. More of the woman you know you’re capable of becoming.

Your dreams don’t compete with motherhood — they can grow alongside it.

You don’t need to have the whole path figured out today. Release the pressure. Follow what lights you up. Trust what’s unfolding.

There is room for your babies AND your dreams. ✨

Save this for the days you need the reminder. 🤍

Baby blues or postnatal depression? 🤍 They can look similar at first — but there are some important differences.

BABY BLUES 🩵
• Usually begin within the first few days after giving birth
• Very common in new mums
• You may feel tearful, overwhelmed, irritable, anxious or unusually emotional
• Often linked to hormonal changes, exhaustion and the enormous adjustment to having a baby
• You can still have moments where you feel like yourself
• Usually improve on their own within about 2 weeks

POSTNATAL DEPRESSION 🤍
• Can begin anytime during the first year after having a baby
• Symptoms persist beyond the initial baby-blues period or may appear later
• You may experience persistent sadness, low mood, hopelessness or anxiety
• You might lose interest or pleasure in things you normally enjoy
• You may struggle to bond with your baby or feel detached
• Feelings of guilt, worthlessness or feeling like you’re “not a good enough mum” can occur
• It can make everyday life and caring for yourself or your baby feel much harder
• Usually requires additional support and may need professional treatment

And remember: postnatal depression doesn’t always look like someone who is visibly depressed. You can be getting dressed, going out, caring for your baby and smiling in photos — while struggling behind the scenes.

If these feelings last longer than two weeks, are getting worse, or you simply feel that something isn’t right, speak to your doctor or another healthcare professional. You don’t need to wait until you’re at breaking point to ask for help. 🤍

Save this for yourself or send it to a new mum who might need it.

5 things that have genuinely helped me through postpartum 🤍

1. Working as a team — taking shifts with my husband and making sure we both get some uninterrupted sleep.
2. Doing things that make me feel like myself again — eating well, moving my body, getting dressed, doing my hair or getting my nails done. The little things really do matter.
3. Getting my feelings out of my head — journaling, talking about how I’m feeling and giving myself space to process all the emotions that come with becoming a mum.
4. Making time for myself — even if it’s just waking up 15–20 minutes before the baby and having a quiet coffee outside. ☕️
5. Doing the things that scare me a little — taking the baby out, going for coffee, going to a restaurant, heading out on my own. As long as it’s safe, I’ve found that the more I do it, the more confident I become. 🤍

Still learning, still adjusting and definitely not getting it right every day — but these little things have made postpartum feel a lot more manageable.

A few little reminders I wish every new mum could hear 🤍

Motherhood is beautiful, overwhelming, hilarious, exhausting and completely consuming — sometimes all before breakfast. 😂

You don’t have to do it perfectly. You don’t have to enjoy every second. Your baby doesn’t need a perfectly tidy house, a perfectly followed routine or a perfectly put-together mum.

They just need you. 🤍

Day of eats | Week 36 of pregnancy 🤍✨

A little glimpse into what I eat in a day! Every day looks different, and this was definitely a lighter eating day. As I get further into the third trimester, I find myself feeling fuller more quickly, so smaller meals and snacks throughout the day work best.

🍳 Breakfast: 2 fried eggs, cottage cheese, rice cakes, cucumber & cherry tomatoes

🥣 Snack: Greek yogurt with banana, cinnamon, almonds & walnuts

🥗 Lunch: Salmon with a fresh salad of lettuce, cucumber & cherry tomatoes

🌴 Snack: Medjool dates stuffed with walnuts

🌯 Dinner: Spinach & egg white wrap with a side salad

🍉 Evening snack: Fresh watermelon

Not every day looks like this—some days I’m much hungrier and eat bigger meals or extra snacks, and that’s completely normal. I’m just focusing on listening to my body, eating nourishing foods, and making sure both baby and I are getting what we need. 💛
